Beach Perfection! Relax away the days with Pool Access and a Gulfview C1524A

  • Located at Palm Island Resort on Florida’s Southwest Gulf Coast. No bridges or causeways to the island exist, which ensures a relaxed, tropical vacation setting.
    The island resort encompasses a two-mile portion of private, pristine beaches on the northern end of Palm Island.
    Guests travel to the island via car ferry and park their car in our island parking area. Transportation is provided by our bell staff and golf carts are also available for rent for registered guests.
    Enjoy access to one of the 5 heated pools, plus hot tub and gas BBQ grills.
    Tennis courts available for play and always complimentary.
    Our recreation center, Coconuts, offers a variety of rentals to include golf carts, bicycles, kayaks and beach umbrellas.
    A full service concierge can also arrange for everything from massages to fishing charters.
    Join a complimentary water aerobics class, nature walk or yoga on the beach when scheduled. Whether you wish to spend your time with us on the go or taking it slow, you’re sure to enjoy your new Memories at the Speed of Old Florida.

I left a beach bag in the villa we were staying in and the staff boxed it up and sent it to me. Great customer service. Great place.

Reviewer Comments: My Husband has been visiting the island since he was a child.We have been with our children multiple times.This tome we decided to stay at the resort and it was the perfect space for us and now 2 youngest children. We will definitely be back soon. I hope the gives the island a break. I love the atmosphere and hope to go back and see it fully recovered from all the storms .Even with the construction and closing of the pools we had an amazing time and give credit to the resort for still being inviting and helpful. The island is definitely a special place for us and the villa we stayed in was just the icing on top the cake.

Beautiful Resort, Not So Great Timing

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We loved the resort and the condo, it is an amazing setting on a beautiful island. We definitely would come back, but probably when the weather was more assured. During our stay, there was a cold front that came in that brought gray, rain, lots of flooding, rough seas and gloom. Because of the weather, we didn’t spend as much time outside/on the beach enjoying the wonderful amenities. As such, we had to go out and find fun, and spending more time off island than planned. The local area has a couple great restaurants, but we ended yo driving to Punta Gorda, Sarasota, Manasota Key, etc. to find places to eat and things to do, which is a bit of a haul. But on the nicer days, we walked the beach collecting shells, soaked in the not tub, rented kayaks, and had some nice daily runs on the island. I’d highly recommend this condo and the island, but 1. Be sure to use the kitchen a lot, and 2. Book at a time where great weather is expected

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our initial unit 2424 was in poor condition: broken railing, moldy smell in unit , exposed sheet rock. We were transferred to another unit that was much nicer but lost several hours for items to be moved and the new unit to be ready. The review is based on the first unit that was booked. I was surprised that no one had inspected it before allowing it to be rented out.

I rented two beachside Villas to accomodate my 3 grown children and their families. The pictures did not do the property justice. We found everything to be very clean and well maintained. The staff at Coconuts and the restaraunt were very friendly and personable. I would definately recommend Palm Island to my friends and would like to come back in the future. We loved having chairs accessible for beach use. And the pool was easy to access and maintained well.

We were there for a wedding, and the accommodations could not have been nicer, the food was outstanding, the weather perfect, and the villa we were in was immaculate with well stocked kitchen and nicely decorated. We were very happy there!! The staff was amazing and I was very impressed with the beach clean-up crew - they did an amazing job. Also - found tons of beautiful sea shells....

We have gone nowhere else for our annual Florida vacation since discovering PI. My daughter had her wedding at PI at her "insistence" in 2007. Can't wait to return each year. I can't imagine a better place.

The resort is beautiful and the three bedroom villa that we occupied was very nice for two couples and three children. I loved the island - very tranquil yet quite warm still in late September! Our grandchildren loved the pool and would have equally enjoyed the beach had the red tide not prevented them from playing there....we certainly hope to return again. And the wedding was beautiful!

We were a large group but given plenty of space and opportunity to gather and celebrate without annoying other guests. The spacious, uncrowded beach was delightful for sunbathers, shell collectors, bathers and frisbee tossers alike and the nearby pool offered a tranquil, shaded place to read or float and unwind.
