"We stayed in a ground floor twin room at the Cromwell Arms during the heatwave of July 2026. The room was pleasant, the beds comfortable. Whilst there was an additional heater in the wardrobe, a fan would have been gratefully received. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious. All the staff we encountered were helpful and pleasant. We never were able to use our reservation and did not stay after paying in full. "The room was very clean and well furnished, rather warm but without air conditioning it would be in this unprecedented heat. Needed more room in bathroom to put out toiletries . The hotel staff were both helpful, friendly and professional. The Jubilee room was a great setting for breakfast , due to timescales ie booking in and out we were unable to use amenities and 1 nights stay is just not long enough. We will be booking longer next time. Pure Luxury and well worth the money."
