The house is an older home but so much charm. Well equipped with everything you might need. Close to downtown, which has a grocery store, pharmacy, dollar store, quaint shops and restaurants. The yard is private and has a fire pit, solar lights and a beautiful night sky view. So glad we got off the highway and away from retail chains. The Lebel Mansion next door is a beautiful building with amazing art and culture. Matt responded quickly to any questions we had. We hope to come back again.

Very nice property inside and outside. We enjoyed our morning coffee on the patio and even saw couple of deers walking by. Everything was just as described. Only improvement would be a blackout curtain in the 2-bed bedroom as the sun goes down late and up early.

We had an amazing stay here! It’s so welcoming and well presented that it feels like walking in to your own home. You have everything you need there for an enjoyable stay, the location is great and the hosts communication was impeccable. My friends and I would definitely stay again!

Great Stay!

It is a great Heritage house with everything you need for a comfortable stay. They backyard and deck are private and a great place to spend time.

Amazing historical house. Great character. Host has included many upgrades and amenities. We stayed here during our vacation of waterton national park. Would stay here again and recommend to anyone looking for R&R

Overall very happy! So clean, super cool house and decor, and easy check-in /instructions! Few comments for future. 1)We couldn’t figure out how to shower without getting quite a bit of water running out onto the floor, so we had to use our towels to sop up the water, more laundry. 2)The stairs could usea little tread or something as they were steep and slippery.3)we could have used more room in the freezer and for a bag of ice, and the amount of things left in the fridge made it a bit confusing when we were leaving and couldn’t remember who’s was who’s. None of these considerations would deter us from rebooking! It was a beautifully redone old place! Thanks for the stay!

Cozy Castle Cottage is an excellent rental for so many reasons: charming, well serviced, comfortable and reasonably priced. Its access to Waterton Park is convenient and simple as well as its proximity to other interesting parts of southern Alberta. Cozy Castle Cottage is a perfect place to stay while enjoying the region.

Comfy home

My family stayed here while attending a wedding in Waterton. Charming heritage home that has modern updates. The deck and backyard were beautiful in the evenings to sit and relax. Matt was easy to reach and went above and beyond to try to fix an issue with the internet during our stay. Nice place to stay if you're looking for accommodation in the area!

Amazing stay

This property was very clean and relaxing. This property had everything we needed. Very enjoyable and relaxing time.The property and the host met our expectations and beyond. Would recommend for couples or families. Added bonus to see the wildlife so close by.

Excellent property, comfortable beds, everything you need at a home is available here at the property. Good communion between owner and guest. Feels like home. We really enjoyed it here. A diamond in a ruff. Super safe and quiet. We loved it here. We were four adult males in our late 30s staying here.

Matt was very responsive in communicating with us. Its an old old house that has been lovingly been maintained. The place was spotlessly clean. It is absolutely full of charm nestled right beside the iconic Lebel mansion.

Great Stay

Very clean and organized place to stay near downtown. Appreciated the Visitors Guide to the premises outlining everything you need to know, including the interesting history of the property. Owner was accommodating and responsive. Thank you. We intend to return.

A cozy cottage indeed

We really enjoyed our stay here. It is a very clean and cozy cottage that is conveniently located. I was able to go for some beautiful walks just from the doorstep of the rental. For those with more limited mobility, I think it’s worth mentioning that the bathroom is located on the first floor, whereas the bedrooms are on the second floor. This means if you need to use the bathroom in the night you will have to go down the staircase. Also the shower is over a beautiful old roll top bath tub, (and has excellent shower pressure), and getting into this tub may be difficult for some. These things are pretty standard in old properties, but I mention in case people do have mobility issues.

Would Stay Again and Again

The house is beautiful, unique and a comfortable stay. Matt was very easy to communicate with and accommodating. The only thing we’d recommend is to have curtains/blinds on the window in the room with two beds as with our kids sleeping in there it was quite bright in the morning and hot (was an easy fix to put a sheet over bottom window). Also with some extremely hot weather for two of the four days we were there, the upstairs was quite hot (as expected in most homes) and would recommend a fan in there or a portable fan (we thankfully had brought one of our own as I’m used to sleeping with a fan and figured there might be some hot days). The last night was the hottest and even though the main bedroom has a ceiling fan and with the window open it was too hot to sleep in there so we shared the other room/fan and the couch. But other than the heat, which is out of anyone’s hands, the stay was cozy (comfortable beds) and loved the quaint, old and lovely style of the home. All the toiletries, appliances etc and more are provided. The deer in the back and neighbours yards were an added bonus and was quite serene. And we enjoyed reading about the history of the Lebel house and mansion next door. Matt is a pleasant host and would stay there again and would of course recommend staying there to anyone. Pincher Creek is a beautiful town central to many beautiful national parks, falls and towns/cities which makes it an overall great place to stay.

This was one of the best vacation rentals I have stayed in. I chose this property while visiting Waterton, Alberta, and staying in Pincher Creek proved to be an excellent decision. The home was exceptionally clean, well-organized, and equipped with everything a guest could need. Even though I brought most of my own essentials, I was impressed by the thoughtful attention to detail and the variety of useful items available throughout the property. All rooms matched the listing description perfectly, and everything was arranged in a logical and convenient manner. The BBQ was excellent and made meal preparation easy and enjoyable. The property is also located within a short drive of restaurants, grocery stores, and other services. I highly recommend this property and would not hesitate to book it again in the future.
