"We found the location perfect for what we needed for our one night saty while visiting family in Huia for the night. The description did include a futon couch/bed which was not in the room, so that was unfortuante. All in all a good stop for the night."

"Such an excellent place to spend a night away. It had everything we needed and despite only being a quick drive to the city, it felt like a different world. We loved lighting the fireplace and it also meant the house stayed cosy all night and into the following morning. The place was clean, comfortable and we loved the extra attention to details. Meeting the animals was an added bonus! Vaughan was a great host, excellent communication and friendly. Thanks for a great stay!"

"An amazing get away while still being in Auckland. Rachel is a wonderful host, and the bach itself is cozy, comfortable and well worth the drive. It feels like you're a world away from civilization, but a 10-minute drive gets you into the local town. Close to walks and beaches, it is a great spot to do a whole lotta nothing. Easy instructions to get to the bach and for the house itself, and a nice set up so you can sit and watch the trees. Would absolutely recommend this to anyone who wants a...

"What a beautiful spot! We spent the night here for our anniversary and it was just magical. Looking out onto rolling hills and the bath on the balcony made romantic by the extra little touches of pretty lights candles and bubble bath provided by Vaughan. He also let us feed the baby calves and then we went down to the 2 cows to feed them. Prince the horse was out in the paddock so we didn’t get to say hello but Vaughan made our stay very welcoming. "Very clean, felt high-end quality. Was stressful checking in because there was an issue with the lock code, and I ended up setting off the alarm when trying to enter! But getting the staff on the phone was simple, and they fixed the code within minutes. Minor annoyance, but there was only one tea towel - 2 would be better. Bed was extremely firm, but I'm well aware that it's a matter of taste. Overall felt nice and quiet, good sense of privacy."
