This cabin was exactly what we were looking for. Wanted a beautiful view, quiet, cozy and this place checked them all. We were there for only three nights and it felt like home. We went for our 5 year wedding anniversary and we could not have been happier! (Every year we get back into our wedding ensembles and retake pictures. The pier was perfect!)

This property has WiFi but the guest are not allowed to use it. Cell service was almost non existent. If we had an emergency we had no way to contact first responders.No oven.This property is beautiful, well kept and quiet. A great place to visit.

Beautiful and spotless cabin on the water with stunning views and a relaxing atmosphere. Charming and perfectly appointed it has everything you could need. The bed and pillows were very comfortable as was the living room furniture. David and Suki could write a manual on how to do VRBO right! Would highly recommend :)

We really enjoyed our time at the Maple Point hideout. The setting is peaceful and secluded. The view of the bay is gorgeous. We loved taking the paddleboat out to explore a couple of the small islands nearby. We saw bald eagles!The cabin itself had everything we needed and then some. Screened porch had a wonderful view. Board games were a nice touch, we hadn't played "Sorry" since we were kids and had fun playing it as adults.Really sad to leave yesterday. Everyone we met in the UP was welcoming and friendly.

Picturesque Cottage and View

The cottage is clean and has everything you need for a great getaway. The kitchen cabinets are labeled and have plenty of dishes, silverware and cooking equipment.We loved taking in the view each morning and evening on the screened in cottage. While sitting on the dock, we watched a majestic eagle soaring. The beds are comfortable and the ceiling fans are quiet. We loved staying at Maple Point Hideaway.

Came looking for rest

I can't say enough good things! It was exactly as described and shown, but better. Quiet, clean, everything you need, location is great for sightseeing, even though I chose to stay put the entire 5 days! My only regret is that I didnt bring my kayak. Next time!

A Cozy Retreat

Maple Point Hideaway is the place you go to get away from it all. The cabin was clean and had comfortable beds. Our family spent most of our time doing day trips and exploring the area.

Quiet Hideaway

No traffic noise except maybe when the freighters passed. Awesome sunrises. Dock was more than enough for our 22' pontoon. And fishing was very productive

A Truly Perfect Getaway

We genuinely could not have asked for a more perfect place to get away for a long weekend. The property is stunning and we were treated to a dazzling display of the northern lights as soon as we arrived on our first night. The cabin was immaculately clean and equipped with everything we needed for an easeful stay. Perfect for anyone who wants a secluded space to disconnect while still being an easy drive to so many fabulous UP destinations. We would 100% book another stay here - maybe for a full week next time as we both agreed on our last day that we needed at least 2 more nights. Thank you for sharing this amazing retreat with us!

A quiet peaceful getaway

We stayed a week and truly perfected relaxation here. The cabin is the cleanest cabin we have ever stayed in and had everything possible thing you could want. You have a gem who comes in and prepares the place for the next renters. Everything in the cabin was comfortable--so well thought out. We spent a lot of time on the deck and the dock watching the eagles fly over, the nearby Kingfisher up in the tree, and saw some deer wander through. We had far more fun paddling around in the paddle boat than we had expected. Early mornings on the porch watching the sun come up was awesome, then evenings we'd go down to the dock again and were in awe of the moon coming up and reflecting on the lake. We saw many ships go by, got the binoculars and watched their progress. We enjoyed touring around Pickford and other small towns, finding fun places to eat and lots of friendly people. This is truly a place that we may wish to come back when we want to get away from the routines of daily life and find the pleasure of the woods, the water, and a cozy place to rest and refresh. Thank you Dave and Suki for sharing your little piece of Heaven with us.

Late summer escape

Very clean, cute, and cozy cabin. Beautiful view of the bay, enjoyed the sunrises. Quiet surroundings. We did an early morning kayak and paddle boat trip. Water was a bit choppy at times but pretty to watch.
