No on-site parking and street parking was 3hr parking but was public parking very close to hotel. Room was clean, bed comfortable. On staff or office all entry is with a pass-key.

It was right by the ferry and downtown area. Rooms have recently been updated.

Older but right by Shepler’s ferry to Mackinac Island

Although the motel called Welcome Inn (different on VRBO) was older, it was somewhat updated. The location is great and the price was good. Microwave and frig, WiFi, tv, old window a/c, but if you’re expecting to live lavishly, this is not the place. We did like it…

The room was nicely remodeled, the person cleaning the room did an excellent job, he opened drawers and wiped the inside down, and made sure we had anything we needed.This was a Lil gem of a place, I can't wait to see the full remodel, it is located in the perfect spot. The only downfall is there is no ice machine and only one small icecube tray.

Nothing special. Very old beds and a very squeaky air conditioner. No fitted sheets on the bed. It would have been nice to have a lamp on the night stand.

Great stay!

Is a good option when you are in a budget like we did, it was cheaper than the rest around us. i would change the mattress and add the tv. Other than that is clean, is a walking distance from everything, downtown, taking the boat for the Island, has ac,park everything is right there.

Long weekend getaway

Overall the stay met our needs. We are not overly needy. The room was very spacious which was great! The owner was very helpful in finding us a place to park our trailer. The only “issues” we had was the beds seem to be very old and more like a trampoline. Only one roll of toilet paper provided. The shower/bathroom would be cover in water/moisture after a shower. I almost wonder if the tub leaked but the bathroom fan really didnt help with the moisture either. Again, had the beds been better and maybe a queen and bathroom a bit updated we would certainly stay again. The location can’t be beat.

Welcome Inn Stay

Rated stay a 3. They have done nice job remodeling room interiors. Both air conditioner and bathroom fan are noisey and on their last leg. Exterior must be a work in progress. There was no number to call if you need anything, cable stopped working on our last night. Location is excellent, close to restaurants, stores and ferry to the island.

Fraudulent business

This is false advertisement and a scam. The Apple Blossom Boutique does not exist on this property. Pictures listed are likely from the facility 50 years ago. It is now an unrecognizable run down motel called The Welcome Inn. We were not even comfortable with entering the room upon arrival.

Great location but needs major upgrades

You cant get any closer to everything with this property, but.....there is no way to bolt the door which made me feel unsafe. There is a window that is ground floor with no covering, we had to hang a towel over it. The floor felt like it would fall through in some spots.

Horrible

We arrived (2 hours after check in) only to find that our room was not ready and was filthy. This was an immediate turn-off. Contacted host and we were told housekeeping got behind. We were told there was another room We could have but we were too disgusted to stay. Asked to be refunded but never heard back from the host. This is a horribly rundown and moldy hotel. I would not recommend that anyone stay here.

Hus

Convenient location where you can walk everywhere. New pine walls were pretty and smelled nice. Satellite tv was nice. The Outside bench, being able to bring our dog, and the door code were all very convenient, but there were no lamps in the room - we had to call for someone to fix the bulb in the one ceiling light. Still no bedside lamps. No cold water tap in the shower- so we were unable to shower. Bathroom walls and toilet had not been cleaned before we arrived. We had to wipe it all down. Mattresses very old and soft and moved sideways off the frame overnight so you fell off. Also we reserved a room at the AppleBlossom inn and when we arrived it had the name ‘Welcome Inn’. The overall look outside is pretty rundown. Although parking was convenient.

Do not stay here

This property was not as advertised. This was not the “Apple Blossom” it is actually “the welcome inn.” The outside was run down and the inside was not clean. I did not even take my bags in the room. The smoke detector was beeping nonstop and the bathroom sink had not been cleaned. I unfortunately had to book a room elsewhere. I let the host know I was not going to stay in the property and they argued with me and denied a refund. Very unhelpful and couldn’t careless about the state of the property. Read the Google reviews for the Apple blossom as well as the Welcome Inn. If I had done so before booking I would have have went through with booking.

Terrible place. Stay Away!!

Totally misrepresented from the pictures shown. Had electrical problems randomly and the guy that came the second time was obviously smoking weed right before he came in our room at 10:00 pm to bring an extension cord so we could watch tv. Bathroom was disgusting and the tub dropped all night long and you could hear it. Carpet is just nasty and only 2 double beds. The mattress’s were so bad my wife and I slept in separate bed’s because the mattress was so worn out you couldn’t have 2 people in one bed. The deadbolt on the door was on the door but there was no hole in the frame for it to be of any use. The A/C unit is from the 70’s and made loud noises on start up. The outside of the building does not look like the pictures. It is close to downtown but not worth it. It was literally embarrassing for people to see us go in the room knowing that’s where we were staying. Sleep in your car if that place is your only option. It’s not a boutique it literally still has The Welcome Inn sign with the photo shopped painted light house out front. The office has junk piled in it and there are also 2 disgusting dumpsters about 20 feet from the room’s outside doors.

Tho it has been "updated" on the inside, the tub ran constantly, would not shut off. The toilet ran for the whole first day and then for some reason, maybe the right wiggle of the handle it stopped. No fitted sheets on the bed so that was weird. The parking is horrendous, the small kid out chuckin rocks at 8 am was pretty annoying, not anything they could do about that. The sign is wrong as far as the name. I'd say the only thing this place has going for it, is the location.

There is no staff on site unless you happen to see one of the cleaners... Which we did because he had just finished cleaning our room right at the 4:00 p.m. check-in time. The air conditioner made a horrific sound and then shut down. There is one light in the room at the far end. No table lamp/s. The beds were sunken in and maybe something that a 4-year-old child would enjoy jumping on as was like a trampoline. The bathroom was hard to get to as there was a bed in front of the door and path to the bathroom that only left about 14 inches of space. The bathroom sink bottom came to just above my knees. I am 5'9, but it's still the shortest sink I've ever seen other than in an accessible washroom... And this bathroom was not accessible. Anybody who uses a walker or wheelchair would not have been able to get to the bathroom door let alone get through it. The hot and cold tops on the tub were not secure and went in different directions. The shower, unlike some hotels that trickle, was the opposite and pretty much sandblasted your body. There is one towel rod in the bathroom. The towels are kept out of the bathroom. There is nowhere to put any of your amenities such as toothbrush and toothpaste. The air conditioner was filthy and when it did run for a couple of minutes it made the room smell very musty. The only good point was the location. It was just up the street from Dixie's restaurant in Mackinaw city. No remote for the TV, turns on by light switch.
