Stay away

No lift wanted to put me on top floor finally gave me a first floor room but there were stains on furniture,bedding bathroom including mould broken trim and tiles ,rust on all taps that needed discaling.a varnish bottle on floor phone in draw not connected no bath and asked about tv not connected he said problems with tv .no means of making a drink in the room .stopped there one night out of 5 and went to check out at 9.30 next day and had to wake manager who was asleep on settee and cats running in and out .please refund me as i wouldn’t even give it a star rating .i moved to hotel the crib and it was same star but perfect.

Attentive staff, good location but room for improv

The staff is very nice with the guests and try to honestly help you with anything. Rooms are quite big (I’ve stayed in two) but with someone wearing signs that could be addressed. Also, the standard rooms share a connecting door with the superior rooms — which are locked at all times, but unfortunately make a lot of noise to come to your room. Overall, good experience, nice decoration and friendly staff!

E Bookers tried to call the hotel several times without answer from them. They also didn t answer emails therefore I WAS UNABLE TO RECEIVE ANWERS TO MY QUESTIONS to postpone my stay in there hotel.

Great experience all around. Location and really confortable. This hotel is amazing. Will stay here again. Did stay in their best room and it was worth the upgrade.

Not like in the Pictures

The pictures of this hotel don't have anything to do with how the place really looks in person, we bumped with a daily problem in the lobby, where every single night there was people ( maybe the manager friends or the owners ), drinking, smoking, sleeping and eating there, in front of everybody without care, including all their trash, empty bottles, cigarette ashes, shoes and dirty clothes. The bathroom at the room had a problem with the sewer system, which was causing the shower and the toilet to clog, there is no elevator, so you will have to climb up with all your luggage, and the area is really far from all the action in the beach. So you will have to walk a lot or take a Tuk-Tuk. Internet was useless at our room, so we had to connect from the lobby. The room was spacious and clean.

Slitet med hål i lakan och stenhård säng. Dagen jag checkade ut fungerade inte wi-fi längre. Tv fungerade ej och blev väckt flera gr per natt pga klientel som slogs, skrek och väsnades. Toa och dusch riktigt smutsig och tre våningar att släpa resväskan. Visst var det billigt men bott bättre för samma pris på flera andra ställen.

Calme et proche plage

Un hôtel avec un designe loft. Trés bien. Ali un des réceptionnistes est très sympathique. Nous avons juste eû un souci de réservation. Mais c’ est En cours de traitement.

Leuk hip hotel top personeel!

Leuk gezellig hotel op 10 min lopen vanaf het strand en centraal vanaf alle grote uitgaans straten en winkelcentra's. Met een relaxte nieuwe eigenaar en lief personeel. In de hotelkamers ziet het er netjes uit. Hier en daar wel toe aan vernieuwing maar je krijgt zeker waar voor je geld. Wij hebben hier 14dagen heerlijk kunnen bijkomen in dit perfect gelegen en gezellige hotel. Bedankt oddy!.

Friendliest Owner, Ever

For the price we paid, I would say that the hotel is beyond decent. Even though it look better in the photos, what wasn't in the photos is the owner's warmth and friendliness. Phil was a great host, ever ready to provide us with a comfortable stay. The location wasn't too bad either. Walking distance to the main attractions in Patong - beach, bangla road and night market. There's also an excellent scooter for rent for road trips outside Patong at a decent price. It was a good stay!

Convienent location and lovely owner, but...

We recently spent a few nights in this budget hotel. Couldn't go past it in terms of price and it is quite conveniently located to everything - a 5min walk to the mall and 15mins to Bangla Road. There is also a fantastic restaurant just on the corner called Maelarn which is super cheap and super tasty. The owner of Oddy Hip is a nice guy - really helpful, friendly and full of good advice. The hotel however is in need of an update and thorough clean. Our room had a very strong smell of mould which persisted throughout our stay, although it did get better after we talked to the staff. The bathroom fixtures were black with mold including the shower head, there was a big hole in the ceiling above the shower and the air conditioner was moldy and dripped. The rest of the room was clean though and fridge is cold. We are a younger couple on a budget and are used to staying in cheap accomodation (so wasn't expecting anything fantastic) but the mold was a big issue in terms of breathing and the smell. The female at reception with the shaved head was also quite rude on check in. She potentially was having a bad day but it was a negative first impression unfortunately

Just right!

Great location...away from d noise of Bangla road, but close enough to walk to it within 5-10 mins! The room was small, but for a budget hotel, it was well maintained and good! The owner, Philip, is super friendly and helpful! I would definitely recommend this place for anyone on a limited budget!

Enjoyable visit

The hotel was very pleasant to stay in. Bed size was great and the room included all the basics we needed for our stay. The hotel is a few blocks walk from market shopping and resturants, if your happy to take the walk to this and the beach then this place is great to stay, and price per night was also a draw card for us!
