Let me start by saying that I would ideally like to rate this a 3.5 stars if I was able to. 4 is too high and 3 is too low, and if the owners would have gone a little further I might have given them a 4, but there were just too many issues to overlook.
Anasazi is a very nice complex in a great location. The grounds are beautiful and has some decent amenities. There are lots of shopping and restaurant choices within walking distance. That's the good, now for the bad.
The condo itself isn't that bad, but it's dated and has only been partially updated. The kitchen is in rough shape and some of the drawers are about to fall apart. One of the cutlery drawers wouldn't stay closed. The appliances are all fine and work very well. I wasn't a fan of the stove, only because it has the old fashioned burners, and the pan that was supplied was rather large, so I was trying to cook eggs and the pan was wobbling precariously on the burner.
The bathroom seems to be made for shorter people. I'm 6'3" and when I stood in front of the mirror my head was about 8" above the top of it so I had to squat down. The plumbing on the 2 sinks seems to be a bit funky. When you run the water in one of them the other would bubble and burp and occasionally let out a foul odor.
The best part of the condo by far was the bed. It's a newer Posturpedic style mattress and is very comfortable and I slept very well. The bedroom is nice but doesn't have a dresser to put your clothes in so I lived out of my suitcase. My older daughter slept on the pullout couch.. She said it was comfortable, but that wasn't the problem -- there were no linens supplied for it. We ended up having to use a spare king-size fitted sheet from the master bed which didn't fit properly at all, and a throw blanket as a duvet. Fortunately she was warm enough but this wasn't adequate at all. I informed the owners on the first night and they said they would stop by with some linens but never did.
The pools in the complex are all very nice, but due to a gas leak under one of the parking lots the gas to the whole complex was shut down so none of the pools or hot tubs were heated. I realize this is completely out of the owners control but was very disappointing none the less. Fortunately it was very warm when we were there, and we found a pool (#3) that was the warmest and were able to have some pool time.
Would I stay at the complex again? Maybe, but not in that unit, and only if the pools were heated. Good price.
