Great place for family
Overall, we would definitely stay here again. It was very comfortable, a great layout for a multi-generational family and lots of space for everyone. There were a few things that could have gone smoother but these were minor. Some updates and attention to detail are needed. 2 of the outdoor dining table chairs have broken slats in the seat. A couple of the transom floor panels had nails popping up which needed to be hammered down. Dishwasher leaked at first but we took a closer look and the door was slightly off-kilter. It was hitting the trim & had to be pushed to straighten it out before closing. These were issues that we didn't contact Dawnene about while we were there because we were able to work around them. Garbage was a bit of an issue. When we arrived on Thursday, the can was 95% full. We were given instructions about putting the garbage out on Monday morning before we left as well as making sure our own garbage was put in the can for pickup. All well and good but when you arrive and have minimal space in the can it just didn't add up. Did not hear anything in response from the owner when this was pointed out before we left so we had to leave our garbage bags in the kitchen because the garbage was not picked up before we left. One minor issue with neighbors in back of us. They were up in the backyard late one night partying/dog barking.. This only happened one night but it kept people in the back bedroom up . Otherwise, the neighborhood was quiet. I do wish there was an instruction notebook about the house such as A/C use (this was remotely controlled so we really didn't have ability to alter temps); but also some guidelines about the pool, tv, fire pit, bbq, etc. They are all doable without a book in figuring things out but having a book means that you don't have to bother the owner with questions. Great location; pool was wonderful as well as the entire backyard configuration. House was specious and our 15 month grandson had the best time ever running all over the place. Now that we know the ropes, we hope to return next year.

Great family getaway
My husband and I wanted to take our 4 kids and their significant others on a fun trip and this home had all the necessities that we all needed. Most of all, the heated pool. We initially had an issue with the pool but we were in great communication with the owners and it was addressed immediately! There was plenty of space for the 10 of us. Plenty of everything. The beds were comfortable and we slept well while we vacationed which is a plus. The home is in a quiet neighborhood and close to many stores and hiking areas. We appreciate the accommodations and we give this home 5 stars!

Thanksgiving with Family
This house was perfect for hosting our family Thanksgiving dinner! The pool was a huge hit with the kids and the hot tub for the adults (we paid extra to heat which was well worth it) Very clean and spacious and close to many restaurants and grocery stores! Owner was very quick to respond when needed. Will stay here again.

Daughter Support Aug. Getaway
First of all, I would like to say that our overall stay in this home was excellent. It is a very warm environment that offers great seating and visiting accommodations for all age groups. When we come to Arizona (Which we frequently do) we like to stay at the place we rent and not gallivant around town. The sole purpose of our visits would be 100% considered family time. This home offered us every reason to stay and zero reason to go anywhere. The swimming pool was a huge hit of course but the pool table was a constant source of gathering and entertainment. There was one night the guys practically stayed up the whole night🤣😂boy did they pay for it the next day. I could not have been more happy with the home owner. She was in contact very quick the few times I needed her. She is a very nice lady and extremely easy to work with. I will definitely be staying at this home if the future if available when we visit Arizona.

My mom and aunt spent the first hour cleaning because there were old coffee grounds in the coffee pot, floor had to be swept and counters/ tables. There a was a also a problem with the Air. It was only on 76 the whole time........

I sincerely apologize for the lack of cleaning. My Housekeeper had a family emergency so I was forced to take a chance on hiring from an unknown company. We pride ourselves in a sterile environment. I must dispute the lack of communication

Perfect for my family!
My family and I enjoyed our stay. The house layout was nice and furnishings comfortable. The master bedroom mattress was a bit on the hard side but some might like that. The pool, hot tub, and backyard were great. Super close to grocery stores and restaurants! The manger was amazing and super responsive. Will rent again. ❤😁

I offer my home for lasting Family and Friend memories. It is very disappointing when you have a guest that thrashes your house...breaking the TVs and destroying the function of the pool. When you keep their deposit which will not cover the damage this is the kind of review you receive.

Great house with just a few minor issues
We enjoyed the house and pool very much. It was clean and exactly as described. The owners were easy to communicate with and responsive. The 4 stars is due to a few minor issues that were off putting. They only had 1 roll of paper towels and 1 roll of tp in each bathroom (and some were half gone). We ran out of both within two days and had to go find our own, which wasn't easy among the covid-19 shortages. They use a Nest system and don't allow the AC to go below 74. Another thing that kind of took us by surprise was the cameras and sensors. The sensors are on all windows and doors. We only found cameras out front but honestly wondered if there are more. One evening we cracked two living room windows so we could hear the kids in the pool. A little while later one of them left the sliding door cracked open. I got a text from the owner saying "Please keep all windows and doors closed my alarm keeps telling me something is open and the air hasn't shut off!" We found this to be a little invasive and kind of creepy. The last issue is it took the owner the full two weeks to initiate our deposit refund. They had people checking in the day we checked out so I don't see any logical reason it took them two weeks to figure out we were owed the full refund. Anyway, aside from those issues it was a nice getaway.

Great Time
My family and I enjoyed our stay here. There were games, puzzles and books in the house. We inflated pool rafts and lounged in the water for hours. There are several grocery stores nearby. Several hiking trails nearby.

Nice Place
It was a great neighborhood, on the north side of Phoenix. Was a nice house with a grill, pool and hot tub. The only problem we had was figuring out the heater on hot tub/pool, It had one heater that had to be switched from pool to hot tub. Had a hard time getting the pool hot, then when we did, we had to wait a couple hours for hot tub to heat up. But it was a nice house, had pool table inside and plenty of room.

House is as advertised
I’ve stayed at a few VRBO’s and the pics do not always live up to the actual house. The pics for this house were spot on. 6 of us rented the house to go watch baseball’s spring training. There was plenty of room for all of us and had a blast playing pool and using the grill outside. My only complaint, which is just a very small personal issue that most would not care about are the pillows in the master bedroom. They were very thin and I had to use 3 of them just to elevate my head level to my back. I still give it a 5 star review all the way down and will try to stay here again.

Memoriable stay - beautiful location
The house was well suited for the adults staying there. We enjoyed this spacious home and the location which was close to many eating places, and a grocery store. Home away from home
This home is well stocked and comfortable. Property owner is responsive. We appreciated the layout of the house which allowed for our family to enjoy time together and also provided privacy and separation. We did not use the pool during our stay but the pool is large and would have been a lot of fun if we had time. Thank you for providing a home away from home.

Fantastic pool and lots of space!
This house was great for our needs. Nice bedrooms and beds. Kitchen was well-stocked with all necessities and the bathrooms had nice towels, etc. The pool and spa were GREAT. Really enjoyed the covered patio. Unable to use the pool table at night because there's no light in that room. Carpets are old/soiled but it's a rental! We would stay here again!

Cousin Inaugural Reunion
I did a LOT of researching on the home our family wanted to stay in and what a great choice. Convenience to our family who lived in the area, to the fun things to enjoy near us, and the neighborhood was fantastic. The house had a wonderful amount of living space and I learned that my Great Uncle is a pool table shark! Great times and hope to come back and enjoy the use of the pool outside more the next visit in AZ.

We were visiting family for a wedding. The house was a good place for base camp while visiting other family. The beds were comfortable. The house was clean. The carpets were very stained as mentioned in someone else's review, but I didn't let that bother me too much. The owner was great to work with and very responsive when I had a question. We appreciate your review. We are replacing the flooring with wood laminate this next week as carpet is very difficult to maintain with the foot traffic as well as drinks spilt continuously. In the description of this "luxurious mansion", it says that the pool and the spa are heated. But upon arrival we learned that you choose for one or the other to be heated. They cannot be heated simultaneously. We stayed at this house during what was called a cold spell to some locals. This caused the neither the pool or the spa to heat up to a temperature for anyone to enjoy. When we brought this problem to the owners attention she texted us saying that she could travel all over the place and never complain once and that we could not handle one week in her "luxiouris mansion" without complaining. We also noticed that other people mentioned this problem in the comment book. She says there is nothing you can do about it. Locals say that it is because it is electric heat and not gas heat. Enjoy your stay everyone! Just dont contact the owner while she travels the world or you be belittled and not taken care of!

I’m very disappointed in this review. I never heard from you the entire stay! I thought you were happy! You asked to arrive early which I approved! Once again this guest had more than 10 in their group. These are the ones that usually give you a bad review. I send a video with the pool and spa instructions which are very easy to follow and they work perfectly.

Adequate stay
Everything was good at this location. Good, but not great. This property needs a little TLC as it is simply worn. Nothing majorly wrong, it just needs to be rejuvenated a bit. Carpet has many stains, light switches that do nothing, no light over the pool table, and many nicks and marks in the walls. Place was clean, but not pristine. The pool and outdoor facilities were nice and the beds were very comfortable. Need to include instructions on how to use the pool cleaner. Again, nothing greatly wrong. I would recommend this property to a friend.

We share our home with families hoping they will build lasting memories and appreciate it and care for it as if it were their own. This group stayed a month in our home. Parties are expected as people are vacationing and guests were coming and going all month long. Pool service was provided once a week and as long as cleaner is put back in the pool it cleans itself. Oven stopped working which we serviced immediately. They asked for a vacuum which was brought over that day. Our home is at the end of the season which means yes nick’s and Marks from guests suit cases golf clubs parties spilling drinks on the carpet, taking roller boards up the stairs, and other normal wear and tear. We spend a few weeks every summer repairing damages done. as well as carpet cleaned several times a year. We will replace the carpet this summer as it is impossible to keep clean with all the spills. These guests were pleasant, we would welcome them back.

Beware of this owner
Beware of this owner. We traveled to this property over New Years with another family of 4 to join our family of 4. We were visiting friends who recently moved from MN last fall, they lived about 15 minutes from this house, the reason we chose it. We entertained this family on 3 nights of our stay as it was easier for them to visit us than 8 of us to travel there. Dawnene accused us of having 1 to 4 of them stay with ZERO PROOF provided to support her claim and said we violated the contract hence keeping the damage deposit with zero communication. I had to contact her before she let me know. New Years Eve they stayed until after midnight then Ubered home (which we have receipt) and left their car in the driveway. I can only assume this is where her claim comes from, but again she has went silent and not replied to my last 4 attempts to iron this out. Talk about a money grab! We have every phone call, text, and receipt to prove they never stayed with us but I guess if they walk in the door you violate the contract, so beware! Additionally the pool and spa would not heat over 70 degrees, after a full day there I communicated this and she wanted pictures of the heater/valve settings which I sent immediately, she never once said we did anything wrong nor did she offer to have her 'pool guy' come look at it. I requested a refund and she agreed to it, of which I have the text messages proving such. After she informed me that she was keeping the damage deposit she also said she was keeping the heat money she previously stated she would refund. Money grab again! There are a few previous reviews that also had issues with heat. So she kept $450 above and beyond the rent. The kitchen and bedrooms were ok. The family room carpet was filthy and stained. There was no lighting over the pool table so it was mostly too dark to play pool after dark. She controls the heating/air remotely and the house was either too cool or 85 degrees in the middle of the night, of which you have zero control over. She was traveling while we stayed and her responses were very delayed. Our service shouldn't suffer because you are away, either manage it better or hire someone to manage it while you vacation. It's beyond disappointing to be accused of lying and not following the youtube videos of the pool/spa when both family's have owned pools and nothing worked from the beginning. Then she won't give proof of accusation all the while keeping all your money. Very suspicious!!

We provided all the proof VRBO requested which they found that none of these accusations were true. VRBO sided with us which made this guest very angry. I love sharing my home with families so they are able to all stay under one roof at an extremely reasonable rate and build life long memories. Most appreciate it.

An Arizona experience --- Canadian family celebrates Christmas 2018
A spacious house and yard for our family of ten to enjoy their Christmas vacation and experience sights and events in Maricopa County. Each family had one of the three bathrooms and the five bedrooms were a plus. The pool and hot tub were a hit with the four grandkids ranging from six to fifteen. The pool table provided for some great games and competitions, too. Although there was seating for ten at meal time, we did miss having all ten at one table for our Christmas morning brunch and the turkey dinner. Some of the chairs were to tall for the dinner table. When having a waste disposal issue, we were pleased with the prompt response for getting it maintained and working again. Thank you. Situated in a quiet neighbourhood with a two car garage and parking pad was ideal. Overall, we had a very good stay for the week we were there and will look into booking a HomeAway in another place, another time.

The pool had been cleaned the evening prior...the morning of your arrival it was windy which blew leaves in the pool. We immediately serviced the pool once you let us know. We allowed you to come in 3 hours early and you brought in more than the ten people max. I don’t understand why you felt we only deserved 3 stars!

Great locale, quiet neighborhood
Group of 5 ladies stayed here. Pool and hot tub was lovely. Plenty of space. Being from Texas we were concerned Dawnene had control of AC, but she made it very comfy immediately. Neighborhood super quiet. Easy access to Sedona, airport, Scottsdale, etc. Beds very comfy. Would recommend for families, girlfriends, guy trips, etc.

10/18/18-10/21/18 We had an amazing stay. We celebrated a graduation at GCU and the home was able to accommodate all our needs. We had family fly from El Paso, TX, New Mexico, Hawaii & California. Wonderful get away
The house and location was great. It was in a quiet neighborhood which was perfect for my 3 small children ages 5 months, 2 and 5 years old. My daughter and niece loved the pool. My mom, sister and niece joined us in the house and there was plenty of room for everyone. Dawnene was great to work with in booking the house and for when my daughter locked the door to one of the bedrooms. We were down to visit family and will definitely be looking at this house again for our next extended stay.

Amazingly wonderful!
My friends and I absolutely loved our stay here. We can't stop talking about it. The comfort level of the home was everything we needed.
