Great place for family
Overall, we would definitely stay here again. It was very comfortable, a great layout for a multi-generational family and
lots of space for everyone. There were a few things that could have gone smoother but these were minor. Some updates and attention to detail are needed. 2 of the outdoor dining table chairs have broken slats in the seat. A couple of the transom floor panels had nails popping up which needed to be hammered down. Dishwasher leaked at first but we took a closer look and the door was slightly off-kilter. It was hitting the trim & had to be pushed to straighten it out before closing. These were issues that we didn't contact Dawnene about while we were there because we were able to work around them.
Garbage was a bit of an issue. When we arrived on Thursday, the can was 95% full. We were given instructions about putting the garbage out on Monday morning before we left as well as making sure our own garbage was put in the can for pickup. All well and good but when you arrive and have minimal space in the can it just didn't add up. Did not hear anything in response from the owner when this was pointed out before we left so we had to leave our garbage bags in the kitchen because the garbage was not picked up before we left.
One minor issue with neighbors in back of us. They were up in the backyard late one night partying/dog barking.. This only happened one night but it kept people in the back bedroom up . Otherwise, the neighborhood was quiet.
I do wish there was an instruction notebook about the house such as A/C use (this was remotely controlled so we really didn't have ability to alter temps); but also some guidelines about the pool, tv, fire pit, bbq, etc. They are all doable without a book in figuring things out but having a book means that you don't have to bother the owner with questions.
Great location; pool was wonderful as well as the entire backyard configuration. House was specious and our 15 month grandson had the best time ever running all over the place. Now that we know the ropes, we hope to return next year.
