This is our second stay in this slice of heaven located along the North East River. I loved seeing the sunrise while kayaking and watching the ever-changing clouds, herons, eagles, and osprey. The kids did some wading/swimming at low tide, fishing and searched for shells. My son brought some firewood along so that we could enjoy sitting outside at night by the fire while looking at stars while at the campfire. With the 5 bedroom/sleeping areas, we were able to fit the whole family comfortably. We had many pots and pans for cooking dinners and room at the table to seat us all. Enjoy visiting historic Charlestown and Havre de Grace while you are there. We so appreciate the opportunity to stay at a great place like this to enjoy our family! Thank you!

The property was everything that was promisedand more! Absolutely beautiful location, and wonderful amenities. We could not have asked for a better place to stay. Check-in was super easy, which was a great start. Traci was even nice enough to let us know it was available earlier than expected. The location is absolutely amazing…right on the bay, with beautiful views day and night. We really enjoyed sitting outside, fishing and soaking it all in. The house was comfortable and had everything we needed for a short stay. There are a plethora of games to play with the kids also. It was peaceful, relaxing, and a perfect little getaway spot. Can’t wait to return!

Family fun
Beautiful location. Excellent accommodations. Very clean and well equipped. The only downside would be all the stones that are on the beach but if you bring beach shoes, you can get past that then it’s a Sandy beach all the way out. We would definitely come again.

Weekend visit
We really enjoyed our stay! Property was comfortable for a large group and was true to its description online. The host also provide extremely detailed instructions which made the check in and check out processes seamless. Would absolutely recommend!

Down by the (Chesapeake) Bay!

We LOVE the Chesapeake area and have stayed up and down the bay, mostly midway and lower. This area on the upper bay is so close to Philadelphia and, although there are tourists around like us, it doesn't feel touristy unless you go into North East, downtown (which is still worth eating a meal or getting ice cream in that cute little town)! Our stay felt private, and we had plenty of room for the maximum amount of people. The view and the sunrise are amazing! Although I struggle with beds in vacay spots, my husband and I LOVED the mattress on the bed in the first floor master bedroom. The house is homey, and it is laid out well so that we could all be in the same room. We had all the pots, pans and grill equipment we needed to cook several meals. E.B. is congenial, and it was easy to work with him and get into the home. We had a minor issue, and he responded immediately! We look forward to returning to our next stay...down by the bay! :) Thanks, E.B.!

Love coming back here!
This is the second time my friends and our dogs have stayed here. We absolutely LOVE the time we get to be out of the city to relax, swim, drink, and watch our dogs enjoy country/water life. EB is a great host and is always so accommodating and communicative. We can’t wait until next summer!

Awesome weekend vacation near nova
This is our 3rd visit at this cute and quiet place around DC / NOVA area.Perfect for kids and adults alike for water activities . The water is perfect height both in low and high tide . We got our inflatable boats and kayaks and had a blast . The house is well stocked and EB is a great host indeed !

Beautiful home and property. Was quite lovely. Quiet, peaceful, exceptionally welcoming. Host was wonderful. Enjoyed the views inside and out. We were boating swimming fishing and soaking up the sunshine. Enjoyed docking up at the bars&restaurants nearby. Would’ve loved to have stayed longer. Short but incredibly sweet :)

Great Family Time!
Three generations from PA, CO and VT all converged on the "Top of the Chesapeake" and had a lovely time. This is a stellar place for bird watching since it's between a creek and the upper Bay ("river".) Kayaks were a hit with 12 year olds and their parents. The owner's very reasonable rules and guidelines were so easy and he was available for help. Highly recommend this place!

Wildlife galore, so nice and peaceful
This house setting was a little slice of paradise. We saw a beaver swimming, blue herons, eagles, ducks in the water and yard.

Beautiful home in serene location
Cannot say enough positive things about this beautiful home. Location on the water is scenic and relaxing. Floor plan is amazing for a large group upstairs and down. Home is outfitted with every necessity. Such a nice touch to have a lit Christmas tree awaiting us. Our adult children have already requested a redo here for next year. Grateful for wonderful memories made.

Great Fall Stay by the River!
My husband and I come to the area at least once a year. This year our family stayed for the weekend and he and I spent 2 days alone. The house was amazing, campfire, cooking together, time spent in North East. Lots of good conversations and laughter! Our 2 year old grandson said "I had fun.... at river house!" We would stay at this house again. Thanks E.B. for making it a wonderful stay.
