"We picked this place all on location to be close to family. Let me start by the host did communicate back with me to try and make things right. I will say he did try. Just upon checking in there were 3 guys in the place at 430 doing maintenance and a car in the driveway with a couple of people . When asked they said they run the errands for them. They were spraying for bugs , which to me was no problem but to it should have been done before checking in. When I arrived the house smelled . Almost...

"It seemed to be. We received email threats telling us how much the fines would be if we left any dirty dishes or didn’t take out the trash or checked in too early or checked out too late. All the coffee mugs had visible dirt or food on them inside and out. The water glasses had food spots on them. The lamps in one bedroom didn’t work, though they worked when plugged into an outlet in the kitchen. It was ok, but worrying about all the possible ways we might have to pay a $20, or $25, or $30 fine...

"We were so looking forward to our stay at this home. However, upon arrival, we noticed that the basement had flooded. There were a few fans running around the room, so someone was aware of this problem and did not address it, or notify us. It took us 4 hours on the phone to finally get the problem addressed and resolved with VRBO customer service. The host did finally contact us several hours later after we had left the home and found a hotel. Apparently there was an issue with a broken phone?...
