Excellent stay!

This is a great place to stay in a gated community, close to the beach. Shanna, the owner, quickly responded to any questions I had. There’s even a shuttle that can pick you up at your property for the beach! HIGHLY recommend.

fantastic beach spot

we love staying at Lost Key Resort when we come to Perdido Key! this listing was so awesome because not only is it pet friendly, but it’s right beside a big grassy area that’s so fun to play and run around! tons of great beach toys and a wagon to help get everything over! what i really want to rave about is the level of communication that we experienced, i can’t even begin to put into words how responsive and flexible the owner was in regards to a thermostat being wonky! it was fixed in minutes and we just had the best time!

Great for family vacation

This home had plenty of room for our large family. It was clean and well stocked with everything we needed for vacation. It was nice to be able to use the golf cart to get to the beach, pool, tennis courts, etc. The owner sent a document that contained all the information we needed for our stay, which was helpful. The only issue, which wasn't a huge deal, was parking. There is room for 4 cars which is nice, but parking is single file. So if you are parked in the garage, everyone behind you has to back out so you can get out. Overall, really nice place and we enjoyed our stay.

Should've stayed longer

You know the saying, vacation flies by. The home was great. Plenty of beach toys to use, chairs, etc. The way the community is set up right across the beach access is pretty convenient. We found parking at the public access lot right next to the private access entrance. Also managed to take the shuttle. The community pool is very nice. Really really lived the bed in the master bedroom. I don't think I have ever slept so well in a bed.

Family Weekend Getaway

The check in process went smoothly and location of the house was easy to find. Beautiful house, exactly as described in the description. We had all age ranges from 2 to grandparents staying and it accommodated everyone accordingly. The kitchen was fully stocked and we loved the fact that we could ride bikes to the beach and around the gated neighborhood. The beach club was right across the street of the main entrance to the resort. We rented the golf cart and just took multiple trips to the street and walked right across. Was a lovely stay!

Family vacation 2023

Beautiful home with a lot of room for my family. Everything was clean and the kitchen was stocked with everything we needed. We had a wonderful time riding the golf cart and riding bikes. The resort pool was amazing! We loved this place and will definitely be back again!

Perdido key lost key review

Overall the place was amzing, although some items were not as clean as expected. The front door tends to stick and is quite loud and difficult to open. Host was great and answered all questions. Place was as advertised with plenty of chairs and bicycles to go the beach.

Celebrating our "fathers" - Father's Day gathering

The property was beautiful, and the owner was very responsive. Future improvements: Item one - When we checked in (a Friday), all outdoor trash cans were full of garbage and reeked of baby diapers, fish, etc. The property and adjoining property store the containers at the entrances (main door and garages), so we had to live with the awful smell and nowhere to dispose of our garbage as we came and went. It seems trash pick-up is Tuesday, so we hauled away our personal garbage for several days. Item two - we had no situational awareness that the "Beach Club" was closed on Tuesdays. This was disappointing for our beach plans. Item three - all the bicycles need maintenance in order to operate. With attention to these items, I would still recommend staying there! Perdido Key is a beautiful place!

“Shore” did satisfy!!

“Shore to Satisfy” was the perfect place for our family get away. The space was great for our group of 10! The kitchen was fully equipped with everything we needed. Plenty of dishes for our large group. Loved the decor, and very clean and comfortable. Amenities were wonderful- shuttle to beach and pool, private beach area with chairs and umbrellas. We will be back next year!

Just Perfect.

We had a great week here. The property was exactly as described; it was beautiful, clean, and very well appointed with literally anything you could need. The location was ideal and there was plenty to keep our family busy all week. Communication was prompt from the time we booked. We will definitely be back.

Perfect Fall Break Getaway

We're TN residents who are still getting used to the fall break our kids get from school and the migration down to FL. We booked with Shanna and her property on short notice for Wed-Sun and brought our family of 6 plus dog. Even though she hadn't accrued any reviews yet, the pictures and amenities provided by her and the community had us sold on a wonderful alterative to cramped hotel or costly beachfront condo. The unit is a duplex and one of maybe 100 that are about 300 yards from the beach. The community concept is clearly planned and although the units look/feel a little cookie-cutter, Shanna's is an end unit giving us additional privacy/views, a cute lawn next to us for lawn games and our dog and they did a great job with paint, furnishings and materials. It gives you the breezy, clean and open feel in every room and part of the house. The kitchen was stocked with utensils and plenty of space and we shopped at the nearby Walmart for breakfast/lunch each day and 2 dinners. We went out the other 2 nights to the local Mexican place Pedros (good not great) and walked to Lillians Pizza which was incredible. There is ice cream nearby & seafood if you're looking for it. The first day we were eager for the beach so we called the shuttle, brought the chairs and toys Shanna had in the garage and enjoyed lounge chairs and umbrellas on the community beach. There is a pool, deck and restaurant as well that we didn't use but looked nice. On Friday, we were feeling active and used the 6 bikes in the basement, played tennis and pickleball as a family and enjoyed the very nice community pool and fitness center. Hot tub wasn't heating but they were working on it. On Saturday, we took Shanna's recommendation and went east to Johnson Beach ($25/day or $45/annual) State Park - which was a beautiful uninterrupted finger of sand between the gulf and inland bay. Our kids accidentally stepped on a stingray and that became the game of finding them in the shallow water sand for 2 days. Perfect unscripted fun and warm water. Overall we found the whole community to be ultra-friendly with people jogging/walking, friendly dogs and many families soaking up the 80 degrees and sunny stretch of weather we were blessed with. The couple of times I needed Shanna, she was super-responsive through the VRBO app and sent her housekeeper w/TV remote batteries. The check-out was easy and they had a dog bed and treats ready for our fur baby. Highly recommend!
