    Free WI-FI - we're happy to announce that we now provide free WI-FI throughout the home.

    Having just undergone extensive renovations, Millpond is a modern, 3 -bedroom, 2 - bathroom house overlooking spectacular views to the mainland. The house sleeps 8 adults comfortably. Two bedrooms have Queen-sized beds and the third bedroom has two bunk beds. Large sliding doors and windows in living areas and the master bedroom provide sensational views of beautiful Hog Bay and Penneshaw beach.

    Millpond is just 25 meters to a clean white sandy beach, which is ideal for families and water activities. A spacious deck and barbeque facilities allows for casual relaxation or entertaining and a fully equipped bespoke kitchen ensures you have everything you need at your fingertips. Open plan living with modern appliances and furnishings and 2 modern bathrooms makes for a comfortable stay. All linen - including beach towels - included as part of your stay. Perfect for one or two families.

    We're happy to announce that we now offer free WI-FI throughout the home to keep you connected during your stay.

    A well maintained garden with outside fish cleaning facilitates and plenty of parking for cars and boats makes Millpond an ideal setting for the anglers amongst you.

    An efficient potbelly wood heater and cosy ambiance also makes Millpond a perfect retreat in the cooler months.

    Location

    Situated in the pretty seaside village of Penneshaw, Millpond overlooks Backstairs Passage and faces mainland South Australia. Either winter or summer, Millpond provides an ideal holiday location. 25mts from a pristine beach and minutes walk to local shops, ferry terminal, Sealink offices (bookings for island tours), local attractions (penguin tours, golf course, Christmas Cove boat launching facilities, restaurants) and resident fairy penguins and wallabies. Local wineries, stunning beaches and other attractions are easily accessible from here.

What an amazing place Millpond is. Its modern, clean, well equipped, has great views of beach, is walking distance to all amenities and a great base to explore the island of KI. Host were very informative and email communication was outstanding. Why would you stay anywhere else.

Perfection in Penneshaw

Millpond is a perfectly appointed holiday home. It was an absolute delight to stay here and it will be the first place I look on my next trip to KI. All the little details are there - platters, spices, tools for seafood, puzzles/books for rainy days. The front verandah was a lovely place to relax, watch the dolphins, birds and see the wallabies :)

Great holiday house has everything you need

We stayed at Millpond for 3 nights. Great location, clean and tidy as advertised. Got everything we needed! Wake up with the beautiful ocean view, play at the beach with the children is so easy. Manager Eddie and Rhonda always greet and reply message in time. Great experience. Highly recommend!

Beautiful spot in Penneshaw

This place was so perfect for our holiday on Kangaroo Island. Easy check-in process once getting off the boat. The ocean views are very relaxing to wake up to and finish the day off after a day out seeing the beautiful spots on the island. Being so close to the beach and able to easily walk to is a big bonus. Communication is very responsive and accomodating. Highly recommend this place and we will be back for sure. Thank you to the hosts Eddie and Rhonda.

The three of us all enjoyed our at Millpond. The house or should I say owners) catered very well to our needs and was well equipped and maintained in all areas, especiallly the kitchen! Great location with an awsome view of the bay, cleanliness, great outdoor furniture and comfy beds beds. My only concern was my blind husband possibly breaking the lovely glass stingray ornament in the main bedroom! We would highly recommend this lovely holiday home. Thanks Meredith and Co xx

Home away from home

Fabulous property with panoramic views of Backstairs Passage across Hog Bay to Cape Jervis. Within easy walking distance to supermarket, hotel and ferry terminal. This home has all the amenities we have in our own home. Eddie is very responsive to any questions. We had another great day at the Kangaroo Island races. Thanks Eddie and Rhonda.

Property was lovely with a great view.Good communication from host from booking right through.Kitchen & all other facilities well appointed.We did have to clean up ants in the dining area on 2 occasions (perhaps needs an ant treatment)Also the coffee machine was not cleaned before our visit & the 2nd bedroom mattress was very uncomfortable & dipped to the middle, we turned it around which did help a little.Otherwise, a lovely relaxing stay.Would recommend to future guests.KI is a lovely place, particularly the national park in the west.

Best holiday home we’ve stayed at with amazing views over the bay! :) 5star!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Millpond. The location is perfect and the view is breathtaking. It was so much better than I was anticipating. The house was presented beautifully, immaculately clean and had absolutely everything you could need whilst on holiday. Would highly recommend this house for a very relaxing stay on KI. We will be back again :).

Holiday of memories with girlfriends

Loved this holiday experience with longtime girlfriends. The house was excellent. Loved the 2 full bathrooms as we had a girlfriend with a moon boot on and legally blind so was very easy for her to find her way around with easy access.

Sensational views, super clean, perfectly formed

Wow, what a pick! Great views, perfect home, super impressive hosts. We were kept so informed leading up to our visit. The home has everything (absolutely everything) you need. It is superbly decorated and super comfortable. Most importantly, it's incredibly clean! Couldn't recommend it highly enough if staying in Penneshaw.

Everything you could ever need

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Millpond, a beautiful house in a wonderful place with amazing views. The kitchen was decked out with everything you could ever want and lighting the fire on a cold winter’s day and snuggling up on the couch to watch DVDs (a very big collection!) was a real treat. Would definitely stay here again
