Jim, the host was Was the best host I’ve experienced. I highly recommend the Adobe house. It’s beautiful and tiles and details are amazing. It was a great experience Jim as we checked in was so prompt and returning my call. I have no complaints about my stay. I’m already thinking of coming back ASAP. You get away from the city, so peaceful the views and the sunset behind the olive trees was spectacular, you get a complementary tasting at the hurst winery and they are the same owners as the Adobe house. Rob lots of towels the kitchen is fully equipped. I was so surprised coming back Becky who takes care of. The house was very responsive as well thank you, Jim and Becky for such a wonderful weekend .

Amazing yard and great location
Stayed with a group of 8 for a wine tasting weekend - the location is great, ~10-15 min from downtown Paso, steps away from the Hearst Winery, where we were given complementary tastings in the tasting room. Plenty of parking, easy self check-in, and an absolutely *amazing* backyard. This house is perfect if you will be spending a majority of your time at the property outside, which we did. The layout of the house isn't super clear in the pictures, but there isn't really a large space outside of the dining table for a big group to hang out comfortably indoors -- the common areas are broken up into a few separate, smaller (smaller than they appear in the photos) rooms. The house itself is a little dark, but that does keep it cool. So it may not be best suited if you plan to be hanging out inside a lot. I wouldn't consider the inside of the home as a luxury home, as it is a historic, older home (which is part of the charm!). However, the backyard was just amazing and definitely luxurious. Beautiful views, including sunset views over the trees/fields, amazing pool and hot tub, big dining table and conversation area with a fire pit. They had pool towels and some floaties. The pool wasn't heated, so in early May, not everyone braved it beyond their feet in the water, but it would be perfect in the hotter summer months. The hot tub was heated ahead of our arrival and we made good use of it. Good sized, newer grill outside for BBQs. Would stay again for that backyard & location!

Fabulous home with pool and hot tub
Adobe home was the perfect 2 night stay for my wife’s birthday weekend. Shared with 4 couples. Kitchen stocked with necessities. Enjoyed the fireplaces in living and kitchen. Dining room large with table for all. New pool and hot tub were great with open views to back fields. A small guest house to the side we didn’t realize was even there and had complete privacy. Two bedrooms are suites. Two smaller bedrooms in hall share the second bath. 3rd full bath other side of kitchen we didn’t really need. Full laundry. We all enjoyed the special decorations and furnishings throughout. Plush towels and nice touches. Hearst Winery across the street and didn’t realize the two were connected by ownership when booked, so that’s bonus. Short enough ride share to downtown Paso Robles. Definitely would book again. Thank you!

Surprise Engagement
My close friends and I stayed at this beautiful home 4 years ago for a friends wedding. My now boyfriend and I reconnected that weekend and our friendship blossomed into romance. This weekend he proposed to me in the very spot in the backyard we spent years ago enjoying the beauty, peace, and happiness of this place. This is our “happy place.”

Outstanding, comfortable stay. It is very relaxing at the property. Well appointed kitchen. Only issue was a cockroach and babies in one of the original house closet. It will become a problem if not addressed soon.

Great location, beautiful property
We rented this home for a gathering with friends. The house was immaculate and fully stocked. Four couples had plenty of space and privacy. As a bonus the house is directly across the street from the Hearst tasting room, a preeminent winery. There is nothing that could have been done to make the stay better or easier. Put this home at the top of your list in Paso Robles

The Place To Stay Is Paso Robles!
Cozy, clean, and every amenity you could want, this home on Hearst Ranch Winery was the perfect place to stay for a weekend in Paso Robles. Close to the town and other major vineyards, it was easy to get around via Lyft and a driver was never more than 14 minutes away. The complementary tasting across the street was a great way to begin the weekend. Jim was a great host!

Great home base for wine tasting.
The home was beautiful and clean. The kitchen was well-appointed; we decided to cook and eat in - the kitchen provided everything we needed. The setting was perfect - quiet and serene, surrounded by vineyards and farmland.

Picturesque View
This house had so much character and the view from the backyard was like looking at a live painting of a countryside landscape. House was comfortable and spacious for four couples. The winery is a short walk across the street and has excellent wine. Looking forward to coming back!

Beautiful and Serene Property
My friends and I had such a wonderful weekend staying on this property in July. The house was a great size for 8 adults and we enjoyed making meals in the kitchen and relaxing outside by the fire pit at night. We loved that there was complimentary wine tasting across the street at their winery. The property manager was great at communicating details and answering any of my questions. She even contacted me to arrange mailing back the hair dryer I accidentally left behind. This property is a gem and we can't wait to come back and stay there in the future. My boyfriend proposed to me in the backyard so it has a special place in our hearts.

Perfect house for a wine-tasting group
The Hearst Ranch Hacienda EXCEEDED mine, and my group’s expectations this weekend! My experience with the owner and manager of the Hacienda has been nothing short of excellent. From the moment I decided to book this property, the communications with the owner and manager were prompt and patient. I even realized that I had asked a few questions multiple times, and still they answered all my questions without making me feel bad! (All our requests were granted as well!) This property has become my new favorite rental in Paso Robles and look forward to booking a stay here again soon. If you are considering the Hacienda for your next rental stay, do NOT think twice! Just do it! And, be sure to do a tasting and buy several bottles (or join the wine club! They provide a discount on the rental if you do!) the wine is excellent as well! Thank you Jim and Margo!

Unique historic location
Great getaway and space for four couples. Unique, historic beautiful location. Great dining room for dining and games. Everything about it was charming. Additional lighting in the bedrooms would be helpful Hooks for wet towels would be helpful too.

Wonderful hacienda
The hacienda was a wonderful place to stay. The decor is amazing! The fireplace in the kitchen was a perfect hang out place. Sitting in the back yard enjoying the sun and a glass of wine was even better. We loved everything about our stay.

Beautiful Hacienda
We loved our stay at The Hearst Hacienda! It’s perfectly appointed, spacious, kitchen is functional and gorgeous, we had family breakfasts and dinner in the dining room, loved watching the sunsets in backyard and enjoyed the hot tub. The beds are very comfortable. Communication was very easy. We will be back!

Three Days of Heaven
Our group of eight thoroughly enjoyed our weekend of wine tasting in Paso. We especially enjoyed staying here. Everything was perfect. We could have stayed longer. Hot days, crisp, cool mornings, enjoying homemade meals in the well-stocked kitchen, all made for a fabulous weekend.

Perfect Getaway!
What a true pleasure this hacienda was to stay in for our family getaway, it was even better than the pictures! The home was clean, very spacious, and provided such a great experience with all of the amenities it had to offer. The multiple fireplaces (even one in the kitchen!) gave the home a very cozy vibe and the fire pit outside made for the perfect spot to relax after a day full of wine tastings! The jacuzzi in the backyard was also very clean and overlooked a spectacular view of lush green fields. I would absolutely recommend this home! Don't forget to visit the Hearst Family Winery across the street - the tasting was fun and the wines were fantastic!

Unique and beautiful home!
I have stayed at this home two times now and definitely plan to come back. The property is so unique and beautiful! The beds are comfy, the backyard has a great view, the kitchen and dining room have everything you could need and the owners are so accommodating! Their wine is amazing, too! Oh, and the hot tub... yes please!

Wow! Wonderful stay in a superb home
The Hacienda is every bit as lovely as it looks in the online photos. Spacious, luxurious, gorgeously decorated, it has a large, well-equipped kitchen and selection of well-appointed bedrooms. Property manager Margot was a delight to work with (her sense of humor is second to none), and very helpful with recommendations for local restaurants and wineries. Owners Jim and Debbie were very friendly and easy to contact when we had a glitch with the air-conditioner. Within moments of our call, Jim arrived to analyze and fix the problem. We had a wonderful time, and we hope to return soon as we can!

Excellent stay
We started out our visit with a wine tasting at Heart Winery which is right across the street. It was a great experience and we enjoyed it thoroughly. The house was super clean and it was very comfortable for 6 women. The spa in the backyard was a big plus.

Perfect retreat. Plenty of amenities straight down to the cake pedestal and ice bucket. Beautiful sunsets seated at the fire pit or from the bubbling jacuzzi. Loved the easy light fire places.

Excellent House for a Ladies Weekend
Each year 3 if my cousins and I visit Paso for a ladies weekend. This year we stayed at the Hearst Ranch winery guest house! It is gorgeous and we had an excellent time. Its secluded and peaceful, about 10 minute from downtown/highway 46 and just a walk across the street to the Hearst Ranch winery tasting room! We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and this lovely guesthouse and hope to stay again in the future!

Girl Trip to Wine Country
Very unique home, rustic, beautiful tile work. Big hot tub we enjoyed very much. Bedrooms were somewhat quirky; 2 huge master bdrms with on suite baths, one has a very small bath counter. The other 2 bdrms are not on suite, their bathroom is in the hallway and the other is across the living room, across the kitchen through the ldry room where you will find the bathroom with clawfoot bathtub! Location is easy to get to most everything within short driving distance.

Wine Tasting 2020
Our group had a great stay at the Hacienda! The owners responded to our request for an early check in and we went wine tasting at Hearst Winery across the street. Wonderful wines served on a comfortable outdoor patio! Everything about the Hacienda was clean, comfortable and beautiful. We loved the space and everything was just as promised. Enjoyed the outdoor space and used the BBQ, hot tub and fire pit. We’re planning to stay again!

Great rental!
This property is cozy, clean and quiet! Beautifully renovated, great for larger gatherings. All the amenties were easily accessible! Hot tub was large and fit 7 people comfortably. Very peaceful to sit on the back porch and watch the birds and sunrise!

Awesome place for 4 couples!!
We were getting together for a reunion. It was hard to find 4 bedrooms with 4 bathrooms. This adobe home was perfect!!! It had history, seclusion and over all awesome comfort. We all had a good time and definitely would come back again!!

Happy times
We had a great stay. The knives for carving could be sharper and we never found a meat thermometer. All was easily managed. It is a wonderful home. Our guests really enjoyed it.

Great house and responsive owners. Loved the wine tasting just across the street. Some of our group were over there every day! Carved pumpkins right from the back yard! So fun and cozy!!
