"I have to say that the hotel met absolutely my expectations. The room was comfortable, nice and clean. Furthermore the hotel staff was really nice and friendly. The only negative aspect was the cleaning of the toilet once we were staying in the room. For instance, in 4 nights we had the same towels although, I imagine that they would have solved the problem inmediately if I had notified it. In general, everything was quite good. I strongly recommend it."

"Beautiful hotel and grounds. Bed and pillows were extremely comfortable. The ability to use the pool and spa were a wonderful added bonus. Staff were really helpful with regards to travel into Durham, helping with park and ride and taxis and also where to eat. Restaurant was charming and relaxing. The only thing that let it down was the noise. As our room was ground floor and backed out into gardens also accessed by the bar/restaurant, the noise levels kept me awake late at night with other...

"Family room/July: Staff has issues with finding bookings made over Hotels.com. Took a while to check in. Worse is that ventilation is substandard, despite being 14 C degrees outside at night room is still 30+ C degrees at night, stagnant air. Breakfast was ok. Transport is about ten minutes from the rail station/bus terminal with line 21 or 14 (Go North East). All in all, would probably be ok during cold months at low price."

"Habíamos estado en otros Marriott y fue una gran experiencia, aquí no te atienden bien, el hotel es un laberinto, y nadie te explica por dónde ir, ni te ayudan con las maletas, tuvimos que pedir que nos cambiaran de cuarto,las alfombras no son cómodas para llevar las maletas, el personal del bar grosero, solo tienen Pepsi y como no queríamos se burlaron de nosotros pensando que no los entenderíamos. "It was the uncomfortable bed/pillows, the fire alarm going off at 5am that wouldn't stop and the long power cut the next day when i needed to work that caused me to leave a bad review."

"Had a two night stay in Room 1. Staff all friendly and helpful. WiFi was on the blink.so not available on our room. They said they needed to fix it. Room was spacious. Lovely bathroom but lighting in both room and bathroom could be brighter. Water hot but found controls on shower difficult to adjust. Tea making facilities all good but I brought my own herbal tea - only standard tea available. Small bottle of still and sparkling water provided."
