"Have stayed in 4 hotels and B&B’s in Eastbourne and this is by far and away the best one I’ve stayed in. Victorian features, stain glass windows combined with a modern style. Breakfast choices were eggcelent with proper sausages and bacon, the “house” scrambled eggs was delicious. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Parking was a bonus as that area of Eastbourne can be tricky to find spaces to park at night. Would definitely stay at The New England again."

"Photos look good on Expedia, hotel looks very different. We really had a bad experience. Booked one of the most expensive sea view rooms. Quite expensive. No cleaning service, no sitcom (it was hooottt), no elevator, no service. Staff quite rude. We asked why there was no room no room cleaning. The lady said „our fault“ as we did not put out a sign. Enfrente de la playa y a 10-15 minutos del Pier y del centro andando. Desayuno típico ingles, con la calidad que hay en Inglaterra. Puedes aparcar por una libra al día en los alrededores del hotel con facilidad. Personal correcto."

"The staff were amazing from the front desk Darcy and mum to the night porter, who could not do enough for us brilliant. Would recommend to all ages and jealous that we’re not still there. Carnival was great; only thing is if you’re down for this event next year, find parking first early, as it’s at a premiere. Massive shout out again to all. 👍😘"

"The hotel was clean and comfortable. On arrival, I was made to feel welcome and the hotel policies explained in a friendly manner including the WiFi password. The room was cleaned during my stay and there were complimentary amenities left in reception for guests outside of normal hours . This was a nice touch to be able to get extra milk for coffee late at night. Lovely friendly staff ,and great security . The location of the property is excellent. I would return again ."

"Location is perfect for the beach and walking distance to restaurants. Parking is horendous. The lift didn't work when we visited, which was not ideal for 4 people with health and mobility issues, we were on the 2nd floor. The staires are quite rickety and winding. There wasn't air conditioning, but they did provide a fan. Our toilet seat was broken, we did report it, but was told it was a bank holiday weekend so nothing could be done. "I don’t recommend this hotel. Its only positive qualitiy is location. The first room we were given (3rd floor, lift out of order) smelt of stale tobacco smoke (despite 'no smoking' signs). We asked to change. The next room had an unwashed bathroom floor. The 3rd was small but we took it because it was cleaner and had a better view. When I noticed there was only one bath towel, I went down to speak to the male receptionist. I collected the extra towel from his office but the teabags he agreed to...
