"It was a nice get away for our wedding anniversary. We were able to bring our dogs and use the private strip of beach a couple of cottages away. This was a great quiet trip. The only thing that could have been better is the AC in the cottage. A window unit is provided but with 90 temps it couldn’t keep up."

"Key Cottage was charming and comfortable. The beds were comfortable, and the bathrooms were standout fabulous - modern, great water pressure, and spacious. The house is well stocked with just about anything you can imagine needing. We loved the location, on a quiet corner in the cute village of Irvington with so much to walk to and do. The only problem we had was getting into the lockbox when we arrived, but they arranged for someone to run down and help us out. "

"The cottage was beautifully restored and decorated. I could imagine the generations of families that enjoyed the place. Our hosts were wonderful and very helpful.The only downside was the outside deck has not been restored.I would definitely recommend this place to someone seeking a quiet getaway."

"We had a wonderful few days at the Little House as part of a longer week exploring VA and WV. The cottage was inviting and well equipped (even Band-Aids!). The property was tranquil with great water views. It was in a secluded area yet a short drive to nearby towns. We enjoyed use of the kayak, relaxing on the porch, and listening to the rain hit the roof on our last night. Rob and the neighbors are welcoming and friendly. "

We really enjoyed the kayaks and paddle board during the day and brought along some floats for a little relaxation in the water. After dinner, we enjoyed the hot tub and beautiful sunset. We all left there well rested and wanting to come back soon. It was the perfect get away to kick off summer."

"We loved our stay at Heron's Hideaway. The house was immaculately clean. The host provided lots of accommodations - plenty of clean towels, shampoo, conditioner and soap, pool towels, etc. Kim was great to work with and responded to all of our communication immediately. The house is a perfect spot to camp out and relax. We visited a couple small beaches within an hour of the house, and Williamsburg but could easily see staying at the house the whole time between the pool, dock, and kayaks. "

The location was so quiet and relaxing - beautiful water views where we could watch sunrise AND sunset ! A prefect retreat !
