Roomy as expected

Pictures are accurate. It felt larger than expected. Not complaining but If i was going I would like to knowthere are not toiletries, only a used large bar of soap for hand washing. Bring your own.The night life is loud from the main bedroom, the back bedroom is quiet. Shutters and fan help but I am a light sleeper. It was a heat wave when we were there mid June, floor fans were needing updating which I suggested and believe owner gave a positive response to. Felt safe close to metro as stated gave it a lesser rating as the cafe and club noise was loud and a demonstration march happened while we were there which owner cannot help. rug by the bed is totally threads, but I'm not a clean freak I get that things are old and used, it was Perfect in every way for our needs.

Great location and apartment

Very cute apartment in a very fun neighborhood. Family of five (3 kids 10) had plenty of space to enjoy Paris. The apartment itself exceeded expectations in size and quality of spaces. The neighborhood is great with lots of fun restaurants, bakeries, bars but also good connections to tourist spots. The weather was very hot during our stay so the apartment was quite warm. The surrounding area is busy so expect noise late into the night if you leave the windows open. We were aware of these when booking and it didn’t impact our stay.

Location, location, location

We had a wonderful stay at Rue de Malte. The location is fantastic, so close to the essentials (boulangerie, supermarkets etc) especially the Metro. The apartment is spacious and had everything we needed. My friend and i enjoyed each having a bedroom and bathroom to ourselves. We loved being right in the middle of the vibrant and busy neighbourhood. We would definitely stay here again.

Great apartment and neighborhood in Paris

This apartment was a wonderful base for visiting Paris. We had comfortable space for 5 adults, good kitchen and living areas and a location that worked for a variety of destinations - walking and via the Metro. The building is in an interesting neighborhood with shops, restaurants and a beautiful market. We had no issue with noise that others had warned about - some normal city sounds that we expect, but not late at all.The host Janet made sure we had what we needed and communicated well before and during the stay. I would recommend this apartment completely.

Einlagige Fenster im Jahre 2025......

Die Wohnung liegt sehr Nahe der Metro 5 und 9 wie ein bisschen weiter entfernt Metro 8. Also bestens geeignet für Ausflüge. Die Fenster müssten ausgetauscht werden erstens energetisch und 2tens Lärmtechnisch. Man hat das Gefühl das Fenster sei offen. Jeder Lärm oder vorbeifahrt von Autos werden wahrgenommen. Die Bar vis á vis hört man richtig gut. Ohne Gehörschutz Propfen kann man nicht schlafen!Sonst sehr charmant aber Küche und hintere Räume eher dunkel.

Great place with lots of character

Stayed 4 nights with our family of 5. Fantastic location in terms of transport and facilities nearby, food shopping, coffee shops, etc, etc.The apartment does have it’s little quirk's with some doors not working properly and the like and it can get quite loud from the street due to the aforementioned restaurants.However the places oozes character and would definitely stay there again without doubt.

Location, food and coffee

Compact apartment with 2 bathrooms in a fabulous location. Next to Oberkampf metro line, numerous cafes and restaurants etc. Sunday markets at Richard Lenore. Stay here you absolutely must have coffee from the Cafe downstairs which is Filipino and includes yam as a key ingredient

Excellent communication

The host was very attentive to our enquiries and gave us detailed instructions. The size was great for our family with 3 teens. The location is very good for travel to and from via train as its steps away from the metro and a short journey from Gare du Nord. A bus on route 69 nearby takes you directly to the Euffel Tower and other attraction en route e.g. Le Louvre and Musee D'Irsay..

Paris stay

Excellent location for getting around the city. Noisy at night but it didn't bother us. Feels very comfortable and well equipped. Would definitely return to this property.

Oberkampf apt

This property is a 2-bedroom, 2-bathroom apartment on the 2nd floor with a well-equipped kitchen. There is also a pull out sofa in the living room which my group utilized because we had 5 people. The apartment is very nicely decorated and has a beautiful alcove with many plants and a small table & 2 chairs. The owner responded quickly to two issues we had. The noise from the restaurants on the street level was loud. If you are not bothered by the noise, you will be fine. But if you are a light sleeper, the noise was an issue. Other than that, it is in a great location to hop on the Oberkampf metro to get around the city.

Our family had a great stay at this apartment. It was located in a great area, with a metro station 1 minute away and tons of great food options very close. A bit loud at night, as there's a bar and restaurant located nearby, but our overall experience was great.

Great location near Marais/metro

Well stocked flat within close access to metro and several great restaurants. Evenings are noisy with pubs nearby in neighborhood but closing shutters and windows helped. Back bedroom was quieter than front of building. Owner was very responsive and helpful with information and assistance when we had a small problem with the heating system. Wonderful little sun room by kitchen for sipping coffee in the morning. We appreciated having a washer and dryer so we could pack lighter for our trip. A little quirky in an older building, but overall a nice place which worked for our family of five with 4 adults and one teen. Try the Indian place nearby, it was fantastic!

Week in France

Apartment was spacious and perfect for a family of four( two teenage boys) very convenient to metro and café across the street. Nightlife downstairs can be a little loud if you are trying to sleep after a long day at 10pm but that is the culture here so it’s all good!! Would recommend to anyone!! Merci Janet!

Perfect first impression of Paris

Having stayed in a neighboring arrondissement, I really looked forward to staying at this apartment with my parents on their visit to Paris. They were charmed by the neighborhood and apartment itself! We appreciated the layout which gave each bedroom its privacy while having distinct spaces to gather. Our host was communicative and proactively ensured we had a smooth stay with their posted and printed instructions for everything in the flat. Having read all previous reviews, I found the key retrieval and drop-off process straightforward (even with a self-imposed very early check-out). We did experience street noise from the neighboring restaurants, but closing the windows helped (and keeping the mindset that this is just part of city life). Our only mild concern was the building stairwell for my older parents, who felt nervous there wasn’t automated lighting when heading down the stairs nor a deeper handhold along the wall—but every trip up/down was completed safely! I’d happily stay here again or recommend to similar groups.

Cozy apartment in a great area of Paris

We enjoyed our stay. Great restaurants all around us. The owner made several suggestions for restaurants and all were good. King size bed was a plus.

Convenient!!

Travelling with my neice, we wanted to give her a great Paris experience for her first trip to the city. The apartment was great. One quick set of steps was not a problem with.my mobility issues. Restaurants, bars and bakeries were right outside the door, so was the subway line. Our week was just fantastic. If you want french charm and local immersion, this is the place.

Spacious apartment in fantastic neighbourhood

This is a fantastic apartment, very spacious and more than enough room for my family. Close to metro stops that service the 5,8 and 9 lines, and to boulangeries, cafes, restaurants and bars. The apartment was well appointed for everything you might need for your stay, including to cook a meal. Check in was relatively easy and the instructions provided before our stay and in the apartment by Janet were very helpful. This is a great place to stay for those who want to experience a lively Paris neighbourhood. A tip is to make sure you close the outside shutters to limit street noise at night in the main bedroom. We stayed over a very loud NYE and the noise was minimised by the shutter and we slept like a dream. The apartment is a little slice of Paris heaven and I would love to stay again the next time we are in Paris.
