Do not book this apartment. My husband and I arrived on Christmas Eve to find the bathroom covered in black and pink mold — a serious health hazard that was not disclosed in the listing. I have a severe mold allergy and immediately developed symptoms including a scratchy throat and headache. We could not stay and had to find a hotel the same night.When we contacted the host with photos, they first denied the mold existed. Then they said they would “maybe” address it in a few days, after the holiday. We were supposed to stay for ten nights — waiting days for them to possibly fix a health hazard was not a reasonable solution. They refused any refund and then sent me harassing messages after we left.We disputed the charge with our credit card and won. The host then billed our card three more times under a different merchant name, attempting to recover the money. We are now disputing those charges as fraud.This was the worst rental experience we’ve ever had. The property has undisclosed health hazards, the host is dishonest and evasive, and their post-checkout behavior has been predatory. Avoid at all costs.
