After many years of positive experiences and stellar guest reviews on Vrbo and other platforms, this is our first negative encounter. From the initial booking, the host’s communication was bizarre, aggressive, and hateful. Despite feeling uneasy, the strict cancellation policy forced us to proceed, leaving us "walking on eggshells."The host took extreme offense to a standard request to drop off luggage early. Later, upon arrival at the contracted time, the key was missing. After being stranded on the street and contacting Vrbo emergency services, the host responded to our inquiries with offensive language and threats to "throw us out".We ultimately did not feel safe entering the property or staying in the home of someone so far outside the norms of professional hospitality and threatening to keep keep us out. We chose to leave and are currently seeking a refund through Vrbo. We are sharing this to prevent others from having their hard-earned holidays ruined. This host treated us hatefully, threatening, and unprofessionally—steer clear for your own safety and peace of mind.
