Maratón de París 2024

Grande y bonito apartamento pero necesita trabajos de mantenimiento. Había puertas sueltas o que se atascaban e interruptores que funcionaban mal. Recomendable si quieres estar en el centro.

The location was very good. Other options available were probably better value for the money. There were issues with system overload tripping the electrical circuits, and getting the TV online, which is not my forte. Getting help was not readily available.

Perfect location, comfortable setting. We felt like we were at a friend’s apartment. Bed was comfortable. Kitchen had everything we needed. Towel warmer was a treat. Good water pressure with almost instant hot water. Loved the stairs, which we had planned for thanks to other reviews. They were excellent exercise after our delicious meals.

L’appartamento si trova nel cuore di Parigi, a due passi da Notre Dame e dai principali monumenti storici. Stanze spaziose con tutto l’occorrente. Gina è stata molto cordiale ed ha risposto a tutte le nostre richieste. Arrivederci Paris!!

Absolutely terrific location. The apartment is larger than it appears in the photos. Well equipped kitchen. Excellent security. Great local markets steps away. Along with restaurants and Berthillon ice cream/sorbet shops. Apartment was very clean. Quiet. Safest neighborhood in Paris. Highly recommend. Would stay here again!

The property has a very generously spacious bedroom, ample closet and shelf space, and all modern appliances throughout including in the bathroom and in the kitchen and in the living room.

Potential serious threat of danger and no realistic parking options

The apartment is advertised as having parking which is the only reason I booked it. I messaged the owner to check this and she didn’t bother responding. I then messaged her manager Gina who was very vague but it seemed we’d find parking. I spent an hour driving in circles looking for parking which never came available. I found underground parking a 10 minute walk away which was 48 a night.At just after midnight I was woken by a man screaming and shouting a trying to kick in a door. It sounded like our apartment front door so I went and sat by it to protect my family. At this point a drill started attacking a door - thankfully downstairs- it was terrifying. After about half an hour everything was quiet so I checked my daughters and went to bed. I was then woken up by the same - a door being kicked in and a drill. I sat by the front door again to make sure my family was safe and until the noise finished.Next morning I messaged VRBO who were useless and also Gina.The take away from the conversations was that it had never happened before and it was a neighbour. Two things:1) it might not have happened before but it DID happen when we were there and we felt in danger. 2) if it was a violent neighbour trying to kick and drill their way into their apartment then there is NO guarantee he won’t do it again.The second night we didn’t sleep in case the crazy man came back. Have asked for compensation and been ignored.Avoid this property for your safety! Useless service

Wonderful location. Near shops, coffee, restaurants, and ice cream. Short walk to Notre Dame and several transit stops. Quite a few steps. So, not for people with physical limitations.

Fantastic location

Loved the location on Ile Saint Louis. Close walking distance from everywhere we wanted to explore in Paris. The size of the apartment was comfortable for our family of 4, especially given the location. The sofa bed is very soft making it challenging for 2 to share but our daughters adjusted. The small shops on the next street were quaint and had everything we were looking for. I would recommend to family and friends.

A lovely home away from home

We had a wonderful stay here, for sixteen days. Our kids slept well on the foldout couch and the bedroom was spacious. The apartment is charming and homey, and we enjoyed getting home at the end of a long day sightseeing. There are numerous shops, restaurants and grocery stores in the area. Notre Dame is a five minute walk away. Metros are close-by--Pont Marie station and Cité station were the ones we used most frequently. The Seine is all around and the island of Île St. Louis was lovely, but not noisy. It was a perfect location to reach all of the sites you might want to visit.Gina, the property manager, was always helpful and responded quickly to any questions we had.The washer/dryer is a combo machine that we were not familiar with, so that took some figuring out, and Gina helped us with that. Occasionally, the power would go out, but I believe this was primarily because 1) it is a lovely old building and 2) it was winter,so we had the heat on all the time. We found that if you turn off the heater in the bedroom, then you could do a load of laundry or a load of dishes. But if you had them both going at once, the electricity would go out and you'd need to press the button in the box by the door to turn it back on. This was by no means a deal-breaker, though! It's just helpful to know if you are there in winter. I like quirky buildings, so it wasn't a problem.The stairs gave us a workout, but we loved our view! I would highly recommend this apartment.

Middle of everything

I stayed here with my maid of honor at my wedding 36 years ago. She had never been overseas and I wanted to make this special for her. This apartment is situated perfectly in Paris. It does have a lot of stairs so if you have health issues or bad knees, keep this in mind. But it is lovely and quiet. I accidentally left the key in the apartment but when I contacted the host, they took care of me immediately. I hope that I can return with my husband to continue our love affair —- in Paris

would give 5 stars for this apt however the front door lock is electric and about every 20 min it makes a noice line it’s unlocking and then locking . The front door is right by the bedroom . Other then that place was great

A cozy apartment in an exclusive neighborhood

We stayed here as a family of four (including two kids), and really enjoyed this cozy apartment. The location was excellent (centrally located on Ile St. Louis) and the street, building, and apartment were very quiet. In the three days we stayed, we encountered another neighbor only once. We appreciated the washer/dryer and the shower had plenty of hot water and good water pressure. The only real negative we experienced were that the doors to the bathroom and bedroom closet were very difficult to open and the main bedroom door wouldn’t close (door got stuck on ceiling beam). The sofa bed in the living room was creaky and tricky to fold in and out, and just big enough for two kids, but it got the job done. Apartment was clean, tastefully decorated, and well stocked with toiletries, outlet converters and had enough toilet paper and paper towels for our stay. We would definitely stay hear again!

Excellent location!!

Wonderful accomodation and location. My 29 year old daughter and I stayed for 7 nights. I found myself wanting to come right back to both il St. Louis and il de la Cite instead of spending time over the river inside the actual city (even thought islands are considered inside city) because it was a bit more quiet , even more charming, and all of our needs were met . Beware of the 5 flights of stairs. If your bag is heavy it will be a challenge - reviews are right about that but great exercise , too! Property manager extremely on top of it all ; extremely responsive. Thank you!

unbelievable location for very comfortable apartment

You literally cannot beat this location! The apartment was extremely clean and comfortable. Makes sight seeing so simple and easy. The only thing to be aware of is that the apartment is on the 5th floor, so pack accordingly otherwise getting stuff up and down can be WORK! That said, we wouldn't change a thing about our visit!

Parisian Charm

The apartment was more charming than the online photos. Super clean and with nice appliances and comfortable bed. Old world Paris charm. Since it is directly in center of Paris I was always only a few metro stops away. I was traveling alone and always felt safe in apartment and coming home very late at night. Extremely quiet neighborhood at night. Great stores, cafes and places to eat only a few doors away. I hope to return again. Cheers!
