All our communication with the management company was top notch! The process of check in was clear and easy. They responded immediately to all emails, gave great recommendations and answered all our questions. The Greeter was on time, very friendly, and accommodating. The apartment was as pictured, which was great. However, first, the building was either dealing with a water leak or not properly maintained as the hallway, stairway and foyer smelled of mold and dampness. It was very overwhelming and continued throughout our stay. Once in the apartment foyer it wasn't apparent. Inside the apartment smelled fine, and it was properly cleaned for our stay. Though, the white carpet was vacuumed, but heavily stained, and the window sheers were dusty. The biggest obstacle to our enjoyment of the apartment was ventilation and noise. I'm from New York City so my tolerance for outside noise is pretty high, but in this case, you needed the windows open in order to get fresh air, but couldn't keep them open because of the noise. There is no AC so it was quite hot for the first few days and nights, making sleep very uncomfortable. Because the patio wrapped around the entire flat and was shared with other units, we didn't feel safe sleeping with the patio doors open, and there are only patio doors, no windows. The shutters had a clamp on them but could easily be pulled open from the outside, through having the shutters closed did let in a fair amount of air flow it wasn't enough and didn't block any noise. It was truly nice to have such a Parisian styled flat that made us feel like we were more locals than tourists, but the entry way and stairway smells were grossly uncomfortable. Being right in the middle of Paris, close to the metro and central to a lot of attractions was a plus.
