Let me start off by saying that the hotel itself is beautiful and deserves a 5 star rating but unfortunately not from me. Check in was flawless and the staff super nice and friendly but once we got to our room
We noticed that it was very hot in there so we lowered the AC. After about 30 minutes nothing so we called and they sent maintenance. Come to find out that the ac was broken in our room and in one other guest’s room. We asked to be moved but they had no other room available It was the hottest days that they had in June and they couldn’t get somebody out to fix it until Monday. We checked in on Friday. We spent three nights with no AC just a fan. The front desk receptionist was kind and kept assuring us that management was involved and they were doing everything they could and that she would ask them to compensate us at least a night or two. The hotel was not cheap and even one night compensation would have come a long way. By Monday they fixed it. After that everything was great however when we went to check out and I asked about the one night or two night compensation, she literally looked me in the eye and said “sorry no”. No other explanation or anything. I am in the customer service industry so I know exactly how to treat clients and I just felt that they didn’t care. It’s sad because it is such a beautiful chic boutique hotel but they really should have been more caring. Plus why did it take 3 days to get a small part? I’m not an AC expert so I don’t Know.
