Location is good, but dated property
Pros: location and uninterfering hostCons:Property is obviously dated while pictures make it seem like it’s new and updated. Apartment is located 3 flights of stairs above in the building and has another stairway inside too. The apartment opens to carpeted, gray, creaking stairs that lead up to the living space which has 1 bedroom with a decent sized bed and attached shower and sink room. The toilet is in a separate room next to the bedroom without any sink and it’s a tiny space with barely enough space to stand. The ceiling in the toilet room had gaps that were very creepy. There is also a small kitchenette area and a decent sized living room with a pull out couch that had ripped leather and a dining table. Although painted, there were cracks in the walls. There were also strange knocking noises coming from the toilet room at random times. The floor was creaky and the apartment had a strange smell that seemed like water damage. Although the description mentioned “high end toiletries”, there was no body wash and obviously drugstore low quality shampoo and warm water only for 15 mins. The window in the bedroom seemed broken and would not lock.Host allowed 1 hour early check in, but did not confirm it until 3 pm so we had to wait uncertain. They send what seem to be automated messages in English, but were unresponsive in real time when we had questions before and during check in about opening the door or using AC, etc. I tried French, but would only sometimes get a response
