Great location and good overall value, but property layout and condition not up to par (small quarters (e.g. shower and bedroom), worn furnishings, musty and signs of mold).

Celebration

We talk our daughters for a weekend to Paris to celebrate their hard work and to mark the end of finishing school. It is a great flat, in a great location perfect for exploring Paris.

Property was comfortable but downstairs ‘bathroom’ was really only a bath and basin as it didn’t have a shower curtain, the shower that was there leaked and kitchen sink plug was missing along with tea towels which made it hard to wash dishes. Communication from custodian ceased when I asked where the sink plug and tea towels were.

Concerns about apartment door

Hello! We stayed during a recent heat wave. It was very humid which made the door to the apartment stick. One morning, we could not open the door from the inside (standing in the living room). We finally were able to get it to budge after many, many pulls on the handle. It is not a traditional doorknob. This is a fire hazard. We attempted to live chat with the host company but there was a language barrier and communication failed. Also, the listing should note the very steep stairs to the lower level and that there is not a toilet on the lower level. one

2 bathrooms turned out to be one toilet only upstairs. The shower upstairs was right next to the bed (1foot) and leaked out onto the floor No paper goods except toilet paper. All in all worst vrbo property I have ever been in

Good accommodation close to metro, bakery and supermarkets

Our family, two adults and two teenagers, spent 3 nights in this apartment and it met our needs and expectations after reading previous guest reviews. The apartment is well located near the metro, bakery, grocery stores and nice restaurants/bars. The apartment is probably a converted shop on the ground floor with a bedroom in the basement where what previously appears to be a large shop window has been rebuilt with panels. The apartment therefore has largely no windows, only small light lets in. We missed being able to see out and have daylight in the apartment. A little surprising was that the shower, with two glass doors, was located in one bedroom only 50 cm from the bed and that the bathroom downstairs had no door but was integrated with the bedroom. It worked ok for us, as a family, as those who were the most early risers got to sleep in the bedroom with a shower so they could get up and leave the bedroom when it was time to shower in the morning. The apartment was clean and the beds comfortable. The apartment is spacious for 4 people but not recommended for more as there were only two queen size beds. It is possible to sit 4 on the sofa by the TV, but then it is cramped. The spiral staircase down to the bedroom in the basement was difficult to walk in. The equipment in the kitchen was borderline minimal. There were only 2 wine glasses and only 4 pieces of plates and plates. No toaster but coffee machine with capsules.

Convenient but needs updates

Great location, convenient and easy to walk around. Check in was fine. Clean and roomy but can not comfortably fit 6 people as advertised. We had 3 couples and 1 couple slept in upstairs bedroom, 1 person slept on small sofa (no sofa bed) and 3 slept in bed downstairs. Down stairs bedroom had no air circulation so very HOT! The hot tub was a bath tub and when you turn it on, water leaked everywhere and we sent the owner pics. Plus if the water was on, the power would shut off. This happened the 3 days we were there. We had to try and find the breaker to turn power back on. Not enough towels to dry the floor, water ran into the bedroom area. Would be a nice place for maybe 4 people but updates are really needed!

Great location, odd set up

The apartment wasn't so clean. There were hairs and things in the bath and old used dirty floss/tooth picks on the floor in the downstairs bedroom. The hot tub didn't really work and the faucet in the tub kept detaching itself and water went everywhere. Also it says two bathrooms.....that is not really the case, there is one toilet right off the kitchen then each of the bedrooms has a bathing/sink facilities. Would have liked to know that there was only one shared toilet. They do warn that the stairs are quite steep....you could seriously injure yourself on the stairs...quite dangerous if you have to climb up to the main floor to use the toilet in the middle of the night. Would probably not stay again.

Beautiful Apartment in a Quiet Location

We stayed in this apartment for 3 days while traveling through France. This apartment suited our needs perfectly. While there are two bathrooms there is only one toilet. Not a big deal to us but some might be interested to know. The location was close to bus stops and restaurants so we were able to travel easily outside of the immediate area but also able to eat close to the apartment. Would definitely stay here again when traveling through Paris.

3 Day Visit to Paris

My 4th trip Paris, my husband’s second’s and our friend’s first. I love showing people this city and always love seeing it through their eyes. The apartment we stayed in was nice for what we needed. Very close to a metro stop and many, many restaurants! It would have been nice if we had a way to empty the garbage but the apartment’s outside garbage cans were not accessible from the unit we were staying in.

Near Metro, converted store front.

The flat was nice and is near the Metro (Saint-George). The beds are comfortable and it has all of the basic amenities. Understand that it is a converted first level store front. Because of this, there are very few windows and with no AC, it can get extremely humid. The noise from the street directly outside the living area and the upper floor residents going in and out of the entry is not insignificant. DO NOT buy the driver services. We bought both pick-up and drop-off. The pick-up was fine, the drop-off for the airport never arrived and the company had no record of it. We missed our flight because of it. The ownership group has plenty of "additional services" we asked to use the pull out couch and had to pay extra for a set of sheets to be provided. Not worth the additional $60/day. Not a horrible experience, but would probably look to book somewhere else in Paris for our next trip.
