What a gem of an apartment! So light, airy, cheerful, comfortable, and clean, and filled with the host’s mother’s beautiful artwork. We were so happy to wake up there every morning and come home to it every night. It felt more like being in the home of a dear friend than a soulless rental.
The tall French windows let in loads of natural light – even on the grey November days – and we enjoyed the view day and night, looking out over a quiet street to the front, and a characteristic courtyard to the back.
We slept incredibly well – helped by the comfort of brand new beds! Yes, the bathrooms are small; but that’s normal in Paris, and they had everything and worked well (and it was nice to have two, plus an extra sink in one of the bedrooms).
Pascale was a delightful and considerate host, quick to respond and super helpful. And as others have said, it really is a fabulous neighbourhood – central, but still very Parisian, with easy access to great restaurants, cafés, shops, museums, small parks, several metro stops, and close to the Seine. It was a great choice, and we are already planning our return. Highly recommend!
