This was our second time staying at The Summit but our first time in this unit. It was okay. The location is great, and close to restaurants (there is a gentleman’s club across the street; just fyi for families). We spent a week here, and it was live-able, but it needs a lot of improvement. The pictures make it look nicer than it is. The fridge door latch is broken and has to be jiggled around every time you close it, the shower handle is broken (as another review states) and falls off if you don’t push in while turning it, and the toilet flapper needs replaced as it makes a ridiculously loud noise almost every 20 minutes. It woke us up several times every night. There was mold on the bathroom ceiling, because there isn’t a working fan in there. We told the owners about the mold, and they did offer to have someone out to clean it, but it wasn’t an immediate concern for us; we just hope they cleaned it before the next folks checked in. There was also confusion about beach chairs. There were no chairs provided in the unit, but the complex has an agreement with a company that sets up chairs every day. THESE AREN’T INCLUDED. We were told after sitting in some we’d have to pay 50 a day to use them. We realized that buying chairs would be less expensive, so the two chairs and umbrella now in the unit are there because of us (you’re welcome lol).Overall, it wasn’t the worst place we’ve been. The TV worked well, the view is nice, but we probably won’t stay here again.
