Our experience could've been better. One of our guests sat down in a chair on the front porch and it snapped in half (luckily he wasn't hurt). On the night we got there we realized our refrigerator wasn't working properly. We contacted management the next morning to let them know. It took 3 days before we got a replacement refrigerator to put our food in. We normally don't eat out very much. We like to spend as much time on the beach as possible. We normally go out to the store and buy food for the week on our first night there. Since the fridge was messed up, we couldn't buy food for 3 days until they replaced the fridge. This caused us a lot of headache and time wasted. It was 4th of July weekend when we got there, so every restaurant was packed, and we had to wait 2 hours to be seated for every meal. If our fridge was working, and we were able to buy food to cook there, we would have saved ourselves a LOT of time and hassle. Also there were a bunch of beer cans left behind the back porch by someone. The master bedroom's balcony door was messed up and was unable to lock, which really messed up the peace of mind of one of our guests... Also the listing said pet friendly, and once we made the reservation, we find out there's an additional pet fee. Why isn't this already included in a "pet friendly" home? Very misleading... There were some good things, however. The location was nice, decent neighborhood, no eye sores in the immediate area. Also the walk to the beach was very short, and the pool was nice. This was our first time getting a house, we normally get a condo in Destin every year. While our experience wasn't terrible, it certainly left a lot to be desired.
