30A Pelican Paradise

The rental was in a great location with beautiful views of the ocean. Quiet location. How ever the unit was very worn and outdated. The owners need to give this place some TLC patio furniture needs to be updated and the sofas needs to be updated..

Great family rental

Overall a great property, location and space for a family. We had adult couples with 1 child each and had plenty of room. The property does have quite a few worn items that need to be addressed/replaced. The property management team was helpful to address any items that we needed fixed during our stay (grill replacement).

Renter beware!

First, other reviews are accurate, esp about the pictures. The EXTERIOR are not accurate. The listing depicts the property to be secluded with no neighbors, this is inaccurate . The pics were clearly taken when the property was built. Since then, there have been more homes built, VERY close to this property. So the beach is shared by several others andoften right in front of this property. Next, the cleanliness and lack of repairs is accurate as well. #1 - water bugs/cockroaches were abundant downstairs #2 - in master upstairs, the shower handle was loose and fell when touched, and the hot water on one sink wouldn't even turn on #3 - ice maker works butthe dispenser does not. So you have to use your hands and kids can't reach it #4 - pull out drawer style microwave turns on, but does not heat AT ALL. #5 - top rack of dishwasher kept falling Bc it had broken parts, so you risked having dishes break #6 - tv downstairs is not user friendly and there was a sign posted about it and you were allowed to use your own AppleTV, etc. Maintenance had to come within minutes of checkin Bc we could even get it turned on #7 - listing says beach chairs & umbrellas are complimentary, but we were directed to a link to the company with a whopping 15% off code?! That's not free, or complimentary. #8 - downstairs shower was in operable #9- we were a family of 6 adults and 4 kids. There was not a single beach chair to use and there was a lack of towels. Kids found 2 small wave boards, but both were broken and couldn't be used #10 - kitchen utensils/tools/gadgets were not inline with the style of the kitchen. We had to improvise a lot. By the looks of the pics, you would expect it to be a cook's dream... think again. #11- there is a drawer w a rusty metal box inside. We think it was a bread box? But it was so rusty and disgusting, I would never store anything in there. #12 - be prepared to bring everything, including salt & pepper. There was not a single pantry item. This was the first Vrbo I've ever stayed in that didn't have the basics like salt & pepper. #13 - zero cleaning items. Only 1 tiny bottle of dishwasher detergent Good things: it is very convenient to walk down the shared stairs to get on the beach, and the patio was nice for watching sunsets. The bedding was nice and the kitchen stove/oven was nice. Beware of what you're paying for. Maintenance did come day after thanksgiving to fix a couple of things, but not all.

Beautifully decorated. Horribly renovated. Nothing worked, downstairs flooded everytime it rained.

During the pandemic we were looking for a private place with access to a private beach. The photos were very deceaving. This house is almost touching the houses on either side. The photo shows a pool which is virtually unusable and the size of a fountain.. The ice makers are inoperable, the oven fan inoperable, the barbq pit is inoperable, the toilets run because the handles are broken, a few doors are frozen shut, the first floor stays musty because of the excess moisture and rain flooding. It is so beautifully appointed decoratively, so sad that nothing worked properly. The rental agency was most attentive but these are flaws the owner needs to address.

The view made this place really great.

Other than a few minor hiccups this was a wonderful getaway. Views took our breath away but so did walking in and seeing a dead water bug direct above the stair well when we walked in. Not a big deal just first thing we saw. The A/C on the 1st & 3rd floor wasn’t working when we arrived So we had to contact Chris, the property manager, who was very responsive and helpful. My wife and I were very impressed that Chris was able to have someone come out to fix the A/C on a Sunday night (the day we arrived). They had it both floors not working up and going in about an hours time. Last minor hiccup was each morning we were supposed to have Two umbrellas and Four beach chairs setup complimentary during our stay. Apparently, since we booked our trip very last minute, the rental place that does the setup did not receive our booking and we had to call Chris to make this happen. Overall, the views of this property, location, and responsiveness of the property manager made this a wonderful last minute family vacation.

Fantastic Vacation

Pelican Paradise was an ideal retreat for our large family. Plenty of room, well equipped kitchen, gorgeous ocean view and so close to the beach. Fun times!
