I've never left a negative review before, but I have no choice after my experience with this property. My wife and I, along with our 9-month old daughter, reserved this property for a long weekend getaway. When we arrived, there was no electricity at the house and the smoke detector was going off. The pool and hot tub were also filthy with leaves and plastic debris floating in them. I called the property manager, who said there was a power issue in the area due to a storm the night before. Interestingly, all of the surrounding houses clearly had power and their lights were on. She was extremely rude and short on the phone and acted like I was inconveniencing her, but said she’d get right back to me. An hour went by with no word, so I tried to call her back twice, but she didn’t answer either time. She eventually messaged me through the VRBO app saying they had no estimate for when it would be fixed. At this point it was dark out, so we had to pay out of pocket to stay in a hotel that night as we’d just driven 3 hours with our baby and were hoping the issue would be resolved by the morning. The next day there was still no word from the property manager, so I again reached out to her and was told there was still no power. At this point we made the 3 hour drive back home. Horrible experience made even worse by the lack of communication, abysmal customer service, and overall rudeness of the property manager.
