"Steve and Claire are amazing, it was a pleasure staying at The Clifton for 2 nights, perfect location to the pier, seafront, pubs and bars. Rooms very clean and tidy, everything you need. Breakfast was brilliant, very accommodating with food choice changes. Cost was more than reasonable and the far better than expected for the price. Comfy beds, quiet area and we slept brilliantly. Ours hosts were so friendly and provided a welcoming atmosphere, we have family in Paignton and will 100 percent...

"Estupendo B&B, situado en una calle tranquila y con facilidad para aparcar el vehículo. El personal es amable y servicial. La habitación era cómoda, moderna y suficientemente amplia. No dispone de ascensor, aunque sólo son dos plantas. El desayuno es muy bueno, el típico full english breakfast acompañado de cereales y zumos. Estancia recomendable. "

"All staff were very courteous and helpful. The rooms were absolutely fantastic. We had a sea view room and it was just lovely to look out across and see the pier and all the ships sheltering from bad weather in the Bay. And the breakfast in the morning was just lovely to sit down and enjoy a good standard."

I enjoyed the game of bingo we had (even won). Evening entertainment singer was very good. Not good if you want an early night, but did finish at 10.30. Staying again next month."

"The best way to describe the Great Western is with the two words, quaint and quirky! The house is in the middle of a massive re-vamp, but that did not impinge on my stay, which was short, but long enough to form a very positive opinion. My room was clearly re-purposed, with the en-suite bolted on, but it was clean, the bed was comfortable and the bathroom fittings were quite new and of a good standard. "Wow what a setting. I know it’s only been open for 6 weeks but it is an amazing hotel. Sea view room and the whole room was amazing, huge bed which was so comfortable. Staff were so helpful and polite and the breakfast was amazing. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone and we will stay there again. Nigel White"
