Headed to Oughterard for a fishing trip or a wedding? Cedar Cottage may be the spot for you. Located just outside bustling village of Oughterard (10-15 min walk), you'll have access to all the West has to offer, with a country feel. Park your car in the driveway and walk to the village for lunch or a few pints as you take in views of the Owenriff River.

    Within a 15 minute stroll of the lively village centre and across the street from a river, Cedar Cottage is a post war traditional cottage that has been completely renovated and brought up to modern day standards. Its centrally located in the West with quick access to Galway, the Wild Atlantic Way, and Connemara.

    This lovely home accommodates six in three bedrooms and has a light and airy feel to it with lots of windows allowing natural light to flood the home set in this idyllic location.

    It's set up for a family - bunk beds, a full size crib/cot, and tons of toys for infants, toddlers, and older children.

Great location to the village! I had trouble finding the house guide on VRBO so Kathleen was great to resend it! Very communicative!

The cottage was exactly as described in the listing. Lovely, bright, very clean with a spacious kitchen and located right across from the park. It was a perfect base for my day trips up to Connemara and also to areas south of Galway. An easy walk into town for groceries, dinner at a pub or just for a drink and music at Clancy's. The host, Kathleen was easy to reach on VRBO and responded quickly.
