Déception

Belle maison avec une superbe vue sur la mer. Elle a beaucoup de charme et pourrait être vraiment très bien. Sauf que nous avons déchanté dès notre arrivée. Nous avons été très déçu par la propreté qui laissait à désirer, des équipements qui ne fonctionnent pas bien, pas d’eau chaude lorsque que deux douches fonctionnent en même temps, une salle de bain sur trois inutilisable à cause d’une fuite d’eau dans la douche, sans parler du liner de la piscine plus que limite. Visiblement il va être changé dans l’hiver prochain mais nous aurions aimé avoir eu l’information avant notre arrivée ! Sur les photos c’est très bien mais en réalité nous en sommes pas sur une maison de « luxe » comme son nom l’indique mais plutôt « low cost » ! En revanche, le propriétaire est disponible et échange facilement. Le book d’arrivée est très pratique et les échanges avant l’arrivée se sont fait tres simplement.

We were a group of 6 and this house suited us perfectly. It was great to have our own en-suite shower room and all rooms were spacious with comfortable beds. Outside there was a lovely pool and eating area with wonderful views of the sea and also amazing views from the roof terrace. The house is situated in a rural area so very peaceful but a 10 minute drive from the beautiful town of Ostuni and 5 minute drive to Carovigno and the Chocolate Cafe with the most amazing cakes, coffee and gelato! Both Edmund and Angelo were extremely helpful and we would love to stay here again.

Ein wunderschönes Haus in Alleinlage. Alles ist auf sehr gutem hohem Niveau. Wir waren sehr zufrieden. Der Vermieter ist absolut TOP. Wir haben sehr viele Informationen bekommen und auch im Haus gab es für alles Erklärungen. Das ist mehr als gut ausgestattet...es gibt was ZUVIEL. Manchmal wäre weniger mehr. Wir haben für jedes Anliegen etwas gefunden. Top Empfehlung!

Architecture très différente, beaucoup de très petites routes pour y arriver mais on ne s’est pas perdu avec les coordonnées que le propriétaire nous avait envoyés. Un peu d’amour pourrait y être ajouté, ex: oreillers un peu dure, les serviettes rugueuses mais sans plus

Set in the country between Ostuni and Carovigno

Lovely property, set in the countryside framed with olive trees. 3 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms , we were 5 and worked well. Perfect for a summer getaway where you love outdoors. Pool and facilities are perfect, plenty of lounge chairs and shade, with the sea in the distance. Along country lanes accessing popular Ostuni and divine Carovigno. Lanes are perfect for wondering or riding bikes but alas the bikes offered were unrideable . Hot water on and off but otherwise lovely property. And hopefully will return.

A fabulous home in a great location

We were a group of 6 - parents with adult children who all enjoyed a relaxing and enjoyable stay at Santa Caterina. Three good sized bedrooms with private showers and plenty of seating areas outside. There was everything we needed; coffee pot, cooking utensils, sun loungers, towels, toiletries, etc. Beaches, supermarkets and historic towns were easily reached. Monopoli and Lecce were two favourites of ours. Thank you to Edmund and Angelo for the generous welcome pack and for sorting out a problem we had with one of the showers quickly. A lovely property in a beautiful place.

Relaxing stay in unique and beautiful property

We stayed during a very hot spell and were glad of the extensive and comfortable outdoor spaces with plenty of shade. This house really lends itself to sunshine and warmth and the outdoor areas are superb. Lovely generous welcome kit and the house has everything you could wish for. Extremely well equipped. Great base for touring Puglia.

Lovely experience in Puglia

This property was perfect for our stay in Ostuni area. The home and amenities are exactly as described, and Edmund was so helpful with directions and information to ensure our time there went smoothly. We loved the outdoor space and the pool. Every evening we would have an aperitif on the rooftop terrace, just so lovely. The kitchen was well equipped, and we cooked some excellent steaks on the outdoor barbeque. The neighborhood was tranquil situated among acres of olive trees. Many nice memories were made.

Amazing view and pool but near Ostuni

Edmund communicated very well from the start of the booking and provided lots of interesting and helpful information. Including a couple of bottles of wine and food on arrival. Very much needed after late late-night journey. The villa itself is down winding lanes in the countryside but that means it is very quiet and you have an amazing view of the sea. Well worth the drive from Ostuni which is still only 10 minutes away and has everything you need for a great holiday. All in all would recommend it!

Wonderful setting for a relaxing family holiday

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Edmund’s house. He is very helpful and respond rapidly to every query. The house is beautiful and very well equipped with all you might need. The three bedrooms, each with its own bathroom, offer big independent spaces for everyone. The setting is wonderful and the roof top terrace is truly magical. The neighbouring towns are beautiful and there is lots to visit within 1 hour. We would highly recommend.

Fantastic week in a wonderful property

We have recently returned from a fantastic week staying in Santa Caterina. The property really is wonderful and is exactly as described and as the photos show. A very tranquil and relaxing place to spend the days, and evenings. We stayed in and cooked (in the very well equipped kitchen) on a couple of occasions - something we would never normally do on holiday but we found it hard to drag ourselves away on some days! Edmund was extremely helpful at all times and the Welcome Pack was very appreciated and superior to any we have ever received elsewhere! On the days we did leave the villa, we especially liked going to Ostuni which had a lovely atmosphere, both by day and night and was very easy to get to in under 10 mins. It really was a special week and we wouldn't hesitate to return.

Beautiful typical Italian location with beautiful few on the sea

Old stone building house, insight nice decorated Trulli ambience. Big garden with a wide view and large swimming pool. Edmund deliver super information about the house and the area and react very quick on demands. Great place to stay with 6 adults. Al bedrooms has a private bathroom.

Puglia Spring

The house & property far exceeded the already high expectations established by the descriptions & photos on the VRBO listing. A beautiful location. Rural, surrounded by olive groves, narrow roads bordered by rough stone walls. A unique part of Italy, so very different from what I have experienced in the north re atmosphere, temperament, and everyday pace of life. The home has majesty, charm, and paradoxically a hewn-stone high-vaulted intimacy: an aesthetic that was a joy to wake up to every morning. The pool and patio, provided areas of sun and shade, with an Adriatic vista, although our weather in late April to mid-May tended to be rather blustery. The pool will be a joy in warmer months. Beds are quite comfortable, with the luxury of ironed linens. Baths are modern, nicely designed. We did a good deal of cooking, and found the kitchen area, although small, well-equipped, and most serviceable. The villa is an easy 10 minutes by car to either Ostuni or Carovigno. In addition, we enjoyed long walks in the area. In all my considerable VRBO experience, Edmund ranks among the very best VRBO hosts: gracious, congenial, quick to offer advice re what to do in the region, and perhaps most importantly, immediately responsive when there was any sort of unexpected logistical/ technical complication. The communication channels were first-rate. Bottom line: our month at the Ostuni villa was one of great and memorable pleasure. Highly recommended.
