"I am sorry to say that our stay was unexpectedly very bad. Even as we checked in the property was cold. There was NO HEATING and no HOT WATER. After many tephone calls we were told that the we boiler was not functioing. We were given grossly inadequate heaters which did little to correct the situation. It completely wrecked the evening which was the celebration of my wife's 70th Birthday. Our first night was a nightmare with no ability for us and our guests to have shower for two full days even...

"An idyllic location which had a rustic feel with modern twist. The barn was ideal for our family of three's needs and where we needed additional support, was given with no objections. The dining area, crockery and appliances were kept really clean and up to date. The outside area as an overspill if a bbq was wanted, had games and seating with lighting and tables to keep you entertained. Had a lovely and restful time, thanks to the host."

"Very nice flat in a great location. Well set up and nice furnishings. My wife and I were very comfortable during a stay of about 8 weeks. Living area is one level above street and can be a little noisy, since it’s on a busy street, but the bedroom is a level above that and much quieter. Lots of good pubs and restaurants steps from apartment. Would definitely stay again!"

Finding the digital key pad to get in the house in the dark was a challenge, it needs a porch light as you can't see it as its black. Also I had a few difficulties with the property. We chose this listing for our three week stay in 2025 based on the condition of the listings offered, the prompt and complete communication by the host, and the fact that we like the area. It has many restaurants, both fine and casual dining. It is a decent walk or a short bus ride to the Grand Arcade and the colleges. We would stay here again."
