Our experience with this rental was unfortunately well below expectations. Upon arrival, our names were not on the reservation list, which caused unnecessary confusion and delayed our check-in. Once we gained access, we found that the property was subpar compared to the listing photos and description — the overall cleanliness and maintenance left much to be desired.One of the biggest concerns was the family of raccoons frequently roaming around and even on the property at all times of day, which made it difficult to feel comfortable or safe outside. This issue was never mentioned in the listing or addressed during our stay.To make matters worse, it has now been over three weeks since our departure, and we still haven’t received our security deposit back, despite reaching out multiple times.While the owners left us a 5-star review, our experience did not reflect that rating. Communication, property condition, and overall guest experience fell far short of expectations. We would not recommend this rental until these issues are resolved and deposits are returned promptly

We had a blast here. Very simple home but had everything we neeeded. Took my son and a couple of his friend for his 17th birthday. Enjoyed the pool and spent a couple hours at the resort but we had more fun at the home. Definitely will book again soon.

family vacation-spring break

We spent 12 days at the location. My rating of the house 8/10. Clean, great location, house does require small update, but for short stay is acceptable. Pool was hot when we arrived as requested. House located within walking distance to main Solterra Resort where we spent few days with kids enjoying the main pool, lazy river and water slide. Highly recommend booking with Vrbo, would definitely book this house again.

the property is in a great location. pool was great Jacuzzi was good. pool heat was on as requested. kitchen was huge and nice. overall probably wouldn't stay in this home again. The furniture was in fair condition at best. the beds were not great. the carpet probably needs cleaned and the pillows were flat. The down stairs thermostat showed 72 the entire time however it was hot and humid. reported the concern and the first response was all about how the opt temp was perfect at 72. the rest of the communication was about how I am responsible for repairs it the temp gets set lower and any equipment fails would be my fault (basically) My feeling was hey we don't care and you will be responsible for the failure of our equipment.the upstairs showed 72 and was quite comfortable. the downstairs toilet ran most of the time we were there. mixed feeling on this.

Property lacking

We chose the property for location & resort amenities. The 5 bedroom home was more than we needed for 2 adults & 2 teens. Our 2 boys were very happy with their rooms, each with their own bathroom. Overall impression of the home was average. Decorating was updated but showed a lot of wear to it with inadequate furniture. Had our party been larger in size we would of been complaining. There were beds for 11 people but only 5 chairs at a table that was large enough to accommodate 8-10. The kitchen was lacking the basics, there wasn't a single cookie sheet to cook on & there were exactly 4 steak knives all of which were broken in some way. We ate out & did very little cooking as a result. There were plenty of plates but lacking in mugs & glassware for more than 8. The patio had seating only for 8 people. The beds were hard foam mattresses that we all found uncomfortable to sleep on & the carpeting throughout the upper level was very worn & crunchy. We requested 4 days before arrival the pool to be heated. We paid for 5 days of this service. Upon arrival the pool was cold, this was made clear to the management company. A "handyman" was sent the following morning & he confirmed that no one turned the heat on. 1 day of money spent on heat wasted. It then took the entire 2nd day for the pool to heat up. Previous reviews stated similar complaints as ours. I was hopeful previous comments would be rectified by the time of our rental. It was clear previous comments were ignored. Beware.

i had to buy 40 dollars worth of batteries trash piled up on the front yard and slung across driveway failed to refund my deposit on grill rental when the one delivered was useless and dirty they were no towels or cookware interntet only worked on two tvs communication was terrible

My vacation

The house is very spacious and clean. However the communication with the people in the office weren’t so good. I was told one thing about my deposit would be , however they took another. Which was part of spending money. I was also told to let them know the day of for pool heating. I told them I would like to get the pool heated. I was told the pool guy will not be in Davenport. My family did not enjoy the pool at night at all. Reaching someone in the office is very difficult.

BEWARE DO NOT RENT THIS PROPERTY

I emailed to ask for an early check in and they never responded. The day I arrived I went to the property to see if we could check in early and the cleaning crew was there and aid come back at 4pm which I did. I was given the incorrect code and wasn't able to get in. I called the property management and spoke to the rudest person ever. She told me that the code should work but eventually hung up on me. I wasn't sent another code to access the property until 8pm. I was told that I would not receive any type of credit because it wasn't their fault that I couldn't get into the property. The house also had no hot water only cold warm water. The pool was freezing cold and when I asked to heat the pool I was told it takes to long so they couldn't. I would NEVER rent from Wonder Vacation Homes ever again or VRBO. I called VRBO several times and was always referred back to the property management they did absolutely nothing to assist me. The entire expericnce was horrible!
