We enjoyed this property. It was the perfect size for our large family. The only things I would state negatively about the property is when we got there, the floors were very dirty and the majority of the TVs in the bedrooms did not work. These were minor things that we easily overcame. I would definitely recommend this property for a large group wanting to stay in the Orlando area.

Lovely home

The home was lovely and our family visit was very enjoyable. I would recommend some hard copy directions for the use of the remotes with the TV’s. The resort water park was a great addition for my families visit too.

Great Owner, Terrible Manager

The home was very dirty, the grill we paid extra for was extremely gross/dirty, several things in the home were broken, very few towels, very limited kitchenware, uncomfortable mattresses, and the neighbors were partying loudly every night while smoking marijuana which negatively impacted children swimming in the pool and our 70 year old parents trying to rest.

Enjoyed our stay.

The house had plenty of room for our family. The kitchen was well equipped and the second refrigerator was very handy. We spent a lot of time in the pool and hot tub which heated up nicely. The south exposure really helped on the cooler days. The clubhouse was a short walk away offered other activities to enjoy. If we come back to Orlando in the next few years, we hope this house will be available.

The house is great! It met our needs perfectly — giving every family their own space, yet providing excellent communal places as well for games and conversations. We paid for the pool to be heated and frankly, I was skeptical because of the cool weather (in the 50’s). But the pool water was well heated and inviting. I live about three hours away and brought a number of kitchen essentials to use during our stay. I was surprised to see how well stocked the kitchen was. The property is well worn and not in the best condition, but really the spaces and amenities included more than made up for the condition of the properly.

Truly a Joy in the Sun

Our large party stayed at Joy in the Sun for a couple days enroute to our final vacation destination. Kenny, the property owner, is wonderful! Communication and responsiveness are very important to me, and Kenny exceeded expectations. The house and pool were spotless upon our arrival. The layout worked perfectly for our crew with a bunk room and master on the ground floor and well spaced out bedrooms on the top floor. We loved that all the common areas (ground floor living space, outdoor patio, & upstairs rec area) were so open and airy (no crammed spaced or narrow hallways here!) Even better was the check-out procedure...no endless pages of instructions and yet the house still managed to be very clean and ready for our arrival. This made our departure so easy and allowed us to focus on our vacation. Thank you for sharing this property with our family. It is truly a Joy in the Sun.

Clean with some maintenance issues.

Unit was very clean. Floors, beds, bathrooms, towels, pool water all nice and clean. As with many units there are small maintenance issues like loose towel bars, broken soap dish in shower, light bulbs out, lights/switches inoperable, 1 tv not working (cable box), lanai screens with openings allowing bugs/frog in, etc. One shower valve and disposal fuxed while we were there. Had to contact manager to find out how to enable jacuzi heater we paid extra for. Very large spaces. Just some maintenance details need attention.

Great owner but house was ok

Kenny was great. He was very responsive and nice. The subdivision was great and everybody enjoyed the amenities even though the main pool was under renovations. However, the house was average. It was pretty clean but the decorations were very mismatched and not modern. One of the leatherette couches were severely damaged/peeling, there were scratches on the furniture, broken things throughout and dirt on many parts of the white walls. The two fridges were great and there were enough utensils and appliances that made the stay very comfortable and convenient. The pool table and football were upstairs where the majority of the bedrooms were so it made it difficult for some people to play because others wanted to go to sleep. I think having it in the garage would be better (which is where they typically are). The iron was also very tiny and did not work too well. Overall the house was clean, which was very important but you can definitely tell it needed some TLC, new furniture that matched and a more updated look.

Great Family celebration!

Our family of 15 had such a wonderful time at this beautiful home. There was more than enough room and we never felt like we were on top of each other. Our favorite gathering spot was out on the covered patio by the pool. This home has a view of the woods and wildlife. We saw some gorgeous birds, lizards, a large grasshopper, beautiful dragonfly, and one little snake. Our grandchildren loved the pool! We spent one day at the clubhouse and Wow! It is truly a resort atmosphere and the workers there were very friendly and accommodating . Great cocktails at the tiki bar and there’s a soft serve frozen yogurt machine next door for the kiddos (not free, but it’s their vacation, too!) We would love a return visit ! Everything is just as described. They even have an ice maker and extra fridge for drinks and snacks. Loved it!

Great stay in a spacious house

This house was great to stay in but the furniture was a bit warned out. One leg on a table in the living room fell apart from it and I was charged an extra 60$ to pay for the so-called damage on it even though it only needed a couple of bolts to fix it. But besides that, this was a great and joyful vacation. Thanks.

Great Visit

Property was nice. Bring everything you will need with you, down to coffee filters. Upstairs stayed warm although fans were suppli8ed. Blender top was broken upon arrivial, but not a game changer. Had a small ice maker which was handy, since local store didnt sell ice. Property could have be care for better, grass needed cut and sprinkler system in poor shape. Screen around pool, on right side bottom was not asttached, but not a problem with insects. All in all nice stay had fun would rent again.
