Stephen's thoughtfully cared-for and well-appointed home was a dream getaway from "city" life! Although it was a bit more secluded than I anticipated, I felt very safe. I appreciated the deadbolts on both the main and deck doors, and the elevated deck allowed me to safely enjoy the visiting wildlife. I was actually hoping to see a bear. :) The creek is wide and lovely, and I enjoyed hunting for heart-shaped rock treasures. Stephen was very responsive, accommodating, and helpful throughout my stay. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend or return! If you're looking for an easy 3-4hr adventure, drive north to Roaring Run Falls and Furnace. The hike is easy and the cascading river and waterfalls are stunning. Then continue on to Falling Spring Falls. There is an area to park and walk to one of the most beautiful views in Virginia!

The cabin of dreams

Stephen's property is truly a beautiful retreat for couples. Situated along a lovely creek and surrounded by scenic nature, the cabin is warm, cozy, and comfortable, allowing my partner and me to enjoy each other's company fully. This is a five-star getaway for couples!

Cabin was wonderful.

Cabin was very clean. We enjoyed the secluded area and watching the birds and squirls from the porch. Everything we needed was there. A secluded cabin but close enough to the Blue Ridge Parkway and other sites.

peaceful, quiet cabin

Lovely stay. The cabin is beautifully constructed and entirely secluded near the banks of a lovely creek. Watched eagles and deer every evening. Communications with Steven were excellent - he was extremely helpful.

Perfect little cabin

This was just a quick stay for my dad and I to go on a fishing trip. The cabin was a perfect little getaway. Would have been a great place for me and my wife to stay in. It was very clean, nice bathroom and on the water to cast out if you want to fish. Definitely recommend if anyone is looking for a secluded place to stay. There is not much around so if you’re looking for remote, this is the place. Also keep in mind if you drive a lowered car then the driveway will not work for you just an fyi.

Perfect short getaway

Perfect getaway

My husband and I are delighted we found this perfect secluded cabin near a creek to escape the city for a few days. The host has thought of everything to make our stay comfortable and relaxed. We enjoyed the two kayaks and the double inflatable tube in the creek plus we were mesmerized by all the wildlife we saw...rabbits, deer, fawns, raccoons, dozens of hummingbirds, bluebirds and doves. The cabin is exceptionally clean with added touches of soft towels, shampoos, hairdryer, bug sprays ( we did not need the bug spray when sitting on the deck with the ceiling fans on). Wifi worked great and there are streaming TV channels to enjoy. Even the king size bed was comfortable! We will be back for another great escape!
