The Hallie Hideaway is a lovely place to stay. Sure, it'd be even better if it were on the ocean instead of a block and a half away from the trail down to the ocean. But it is cozy and comfortable and has lots of useful spaces and amenities. The kitchen is well equipped. The rooms are all sizable and have comfortable furniture. It's a two-block walk to down.
The online information is somewhat misleading. The house certainly isn't a one bedroom. Up a nice, wide set of stairs is a lovely second bedroom in a loft. It has three beds in it. I might even prefer staying up there if the second bathroom were on that floor, not the first. Also, please note that the deck is on the first floor, not the upper one, as you might assume from a quick look at the photos.
My experience would've been even better if the owner or property manager had replied to a note in which I'd asked several questions; if Vacasa hadn't had significant problems with its billing system, requiring me to make many calls to get my payment to go through; and if I'd been given a working number for the Vacasa office in Spokane, Washington, to which I'd been sent.
