"We stayed there for one night prior to visiting Herrenchiemsee. It was a short drive (15 minutes) to the ferry. The hotel is very rural. Breakfast was nice. Guests are given a table number for where to sit for breakfast which I guess avoids any issues with finding a clean table. One slightly quirky thing, which we liked, was that each room had a golf club and ball to use a mini golf course in the garden. The room was very hot even with the fan on. It was a lovely hotel with a spa and plenty of...

"My room door did not stay shut without locking it, compared to the pictures this room was nothing like it. The whole hotel seemed much more dated than the pictures implied. Windows had to be left open due to the heat, and I woke up smelling of cigarette smoke from the smoking happening directly below my room. Eierspeisen liegen kalt in Behältern."

"After travelling many miles on a motorcycle in the rain, we accepted the offer to upgrade our room to one with a jacuzzi and balcony with a lovely view over the rooftops. The room was beautifully decorated and it felt very private on the top floor. We also used the lift which was convenient for carrying motorcycle panniers. The staff in the main building where we had breakfast were dressed in traditional costumes and were very helpful."

"Wonderful hotel. Nice spa that is under-hyped on their website"
