The property was clean & well stocked. The location was perfect for us, as my spouse has some difficulty walking distances. The beach access was right at bottom of our steps. I did feel the price was a little high after actually seeing the property & pricing of others nearby.

We did not feel it was a good value for the cost, after all fees that are included. Needs to be updated. Great beach access!

Overall we had a great stay. There were some issues however. There were quite a few cockroaches in the house which wasn’t great. Multiple remote controls had dead batteries and several light bulbs were out. One night it was quite windy and there was a very loud noise from the roof which sounded like loose metal sheeting flapping. Made it very difficult to sleep.

Nice location, great view of beach from back deck. Loved the sound of the ocean surf. The home was clean and nicely decorated. The kitchen was fully stocked with anything you could possibly need. We definitely would stay here again.

This is our 3rd stay at this property with reservations for next year on the books. The property is perfect. Location - on the beach. Price that is affordable. Size - great for a small family or couple. Everything you may want / need is provided; including boogie boards, beach chairs, beach towels, wonderful bath towels, comfy mattresses and pillows, fully stocked kitchen (with many herbs /spices). A lovely screened in porch and open deck as well. It's better than home! (although we do miss our cats)

This was our 2nd year staying at Oki Doki. It was Wonderful. The hosts and the place are AWESOME. Over the past 17 years we would go with a rental company there (will not mention any names) but when we decided to go with VRBO and Oki Doki, we wished many times that we had done this earlier in our stays at Oak Island. Normally we stay at Oak Island in July for our wedding anniversary. This year OkI Doki was already booked so we came in September. outside of this being hurricane peak season we loved the stay. The beaches reminded us of when we first started coming, not crowded. This year we had 3 beautiful days and the rest was overcast and raining. Oki Doki had everything we needed. We woud stay on the screen enclosed porch and enjoy every day. In our opinion, we feel like Oki Doki is the best place to stay and hope to do so for another 17 years. Thanks to the host for sharing such a wonderful place. Memories are always great there.

OKI DOKI was the best beach house we’ve ever rented. It’s one of the only oceanfront homes that we saw with a beautiful screened in porch from where you could sit and enjoy the beach without actually being on the sand (which was only steps away). There were so many things supplied at the house, so many little things, like a first aid kit. And you might think all the hooks are a little unique but as you get settled you will appreciate and use them, a lot! The owners were so kind and went the extra mile to make our stay great. We will definitely be back.

Really, this place is fantastic. Our second time here and continue to be really impressed. Well appointed, organized, friendly, quick. And the hooks! Who knew you needed all those hooks, but so handy! Cooking in the kitchen - so easy with all the utensils and organization. Love it. Plan to be back!

Excellent communication by the owner. Perfect for family of four. Quiet beach, loved the ocean sounds as we dozed off each night. Lots of sweet touches to welcome us - OkiDoki koozies, cards and plenty of snacks. There were also lots of essentials that many beach rentals do not provide (e.g. laundry and kitchen cleaning supplies, beach chairs, beach towels and much more).

This was our first time staying at Oki Doki beach house. There were a few updates that aren't in the online photos. Most notably, some really great tables/chair sets not shown in the covered back porch! Only thing I would change is a keypad for the front and back doors instead of our family all utilizing 1 key, but that's minor. We booked next year already and can't wait to go back!

The host took care of the little things which made this trip easy and allowed us to focus on having fun as a family. The house included boogie boards, Bluetooth speakers, cookware, and lots of other little things that we didn’t have to pack up and bring. There were bath and beach towels and tons of towel hooks near the doors, the bedrooms, and bathrooms. Screened in porch and outside porch, foot wash, garden hose, and a private beach access made the beach time a breeze. Will definitely be back! All hosts should be this considerate!

Wonderful time staying in Oki Doki on Oak Island! Beautiful upgrades to a beach cottage. Perfect spot. Loved the screened in porch!!! Sadly we had to leave early because of Hurricane Ian 😥. I definitely want to return to this rental.

Our second time here and you could ask for nothing more! The kitchen offers a Keurig with lots of options, is very well stocked (including lots of spices, pots, pans and even storage containers for leftovers). Even pantry space for what you might bring along. Bathroom towels are luscious! Beds are very comfy. And location? Can't get any better - it's just steps (literally) from the ocean.

Owners went the extra mile to ensure the house was like being home.. location was perfect. House was stocked with a lot of little extras we did not expect. This was our first Vrbo experience and it was top notch
