It was our first time in Oak Island and we loved it. The location of the house is great- right between the ocean and the intercostal. "Banana Pancakes was perfect for our family beach trip! The public beach access is right across the street, so getting to the beach was super easy, and the views from the porch felt just like being oceanfront. The house was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed. The kitchen was well stocked with all the essentials. Evenings on the porch swing were our favorite. Being pet friendly was a huge plus too. We’ll definitely be back!"

"This was an awesome property; cute, cozy, and close to the beach. The owners were responsive and very easy to work with. Having the golf cart was a lot of fun and the owners were thoughtful enough to give specific directions on paths to stay compliant with the golf cart. This property had all the essentials you’d need-coffee makers, beach equipment, beach towels, etc. We really enjoyed our stay here! "

We spent two weeks there with several family members visiting during that time. What a wonderful vacation! Laura was a gracious and responsive host. "Latane was a very welcoming , friendly & helpful host. The IH is close to restaurants, 49th St beach access & neighborhood is quiet—great for walking, biking & running. For those not keen on those activities, Latane has a very nice golf cart for rent—perfect for exploring Oak Island. Would stay here again! Thank you! "
