We had a fantastic stay! The house was spotless, perfectly located with beach access right across the street and stocked with every amenity you need. Also, Matthew was a great host - very responsive, making the entire experience seamless. Highly recommended and would definitely stay again!

We loved the Sandy Moose! It had everything that we needed for our after Christmas getaway. The location was perfect. Just a few steps from the ocean to see some of the prettiest sunsets we have ever seen! The house was fully stocked with everything that you will need. Our boys especially loved the NBA arcade game. Highly recommend this house!

Great stay, close to the beach, CLEAN HOME

My family and I spent a week here and had a great time. There was plenty of kitchen equipment, spices, and some coffee/tea/pantry staples available. The garage area had lots of chairs and beach toys. TVs had a guest-set Roku situation and the main living area was very comfortable. 2 minute walk to the beach made things with our 6 year old easy! We could easily come back for bathrooms and lunch. The outdoor shower had hot water too making beach clean up easy and comfortable. Price was great and the house was immaculately cleaned. 10/10 would recommend

Great Beach House

Our family enjoyed our time in Oak Island. The place was clean and we were close to a beach access. The kitchen was well stocked. The owner responded quickly to my questions. I would recommend staying here.

Great week

The house was just what we needed for 5 adults and two kids. The beach access is just across the street from the house which makes for an easy trip. The house came well stocked with many of the daily items you need like foil, detergent and things like that. The way the house is split up it is like two separate living areas which makes the house feel far bigger than it is. Over all I would recommend this house.

Wonderful Experience!

The house was very well equipped—with lots of extra touches that made us feel at home. The owner was polite and responsive. Even the checkout instructions were respectful—not demanding or unfeeling. Thanks for a wonderful week at the beach!

Beach Getaway

This was the perfect place for our beach getaway for 9 people. The house was clean, the beds were comfortable, and the location was AMAZING - just steps from the beach on a quiet part of the island. We enjoyed sitting on the front wrap-around porch and watching lines of pelicans fly by! The outdoor shower was a huge bonus - as was the use of the beach chairs and games. Overall, it was one of the best beach vacations we have had. I highly recommend this rental!

Perfect getaway!!

The Sandy Moose in Oak Island, NC is the perfect choice for your next getaway. We love it! This home is beautifully decorated! The layout is great and accommodating. Our family of ten had plenty of room to spread out during our stay. It has everything you need- just bring your clothes and groceries. The location is very convenient to the beach and restaurants on the island. The owners are attentive, helpful and kind. We had a wonderful visit and would love to stay at the Sandy Moose again in the future!

Great location, house and host

Great location. Beach access was a short walk across the street. The street was busy so small children will need to be accompanied by an adult to help cross the street. The house was very clean, and comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked with utensils, and cooking ware. A special perk were the beach chairs, umbrella, wake boards and even cornhole. The beach itself was a great time with warm water, small surf, no undertow or rip tides. Low tide would be especially good for smaller children with shallow water all the way out to a sandbar. Mostly families, some On shore fishing, but didn’t hinder our stay. Just the description on the website says three bathrooms but there are actually two full bathrooms, with a great shower outside with hot water and privacy. Host was very responsive, and quickly reply to all of our questions. We spent some time in Southport which was a quick 15 minute drive, lots of restaurants and small cafés. Rental highly recommended. Would come back again.

“Beautiful home that is steps from the beach...”

We stayed at The Sandy Moose for a family (of 8) vacation, and we are so happy we selected this beautiful and recently renovated house. It exceeded all our expectations. The house was clean, easy to get to, close enough to town for eating out and for some souvenir shopping. The kitchen was extremely well stocked, and every room had everything they needed for a nice stay. We really enjoyed the views from the balcony, short walk to the beach and all the entertainment that this home provided. The arcade video game was a hit! The well-stocked beach supplies and bikes and the placement of items made our stay easy and comfortable. Host, Matthew, was easy to talk to and responded very quickly when texted. He even provided several recommendations for eating out. We'd love to stay there again if we return. Thank you for making this a great family vacation!
