Overall, our group of four had a very nice stay at the Peach House. The kitchen especially was very nice and well stocked (except no coffee mugs). Comfortable beds, and living areas. The check-in process was a little bit of a hassle with the security deposit. We were told to have our security deposit at check-in, which we did. They called us the day before saying that they hadn't received the security deposit yet and we wouldn't be allowed into the VRBO until they received it. There was some lack of communication about needing to drop off the security deposit to Oak Island Accommodations office prior to our check-in since the office would be closed on the day we were to check in. We were told at 4:30PM Saturday, the evening before we were to check in that they needed the payment. The office closed at 5PM, and would be closed the next day. So that was a bit of a hassle to coordinate at the last minute.
Also, when we arrived at the VRBO at the designated 4PM check-in time. The cleaning person was still cleaning the VRBO, and said they would need more time before we entered. We had to wait outside the VRBO for about 45 minutes before they finished. It was daylight savings and this person didn't realize that and didn't seem to have enough time to clean the VRBO properly. For the high price, and already late check-in and early check-out requirements, this was disappointing.
We were also required to bring our own toilet paper, which was unfortunate for the price we paid for the VRBO. It seems like toilet paper should be a given.
Overall, content with the stay and would recommend to larger families.
