This was a fantastic place to spend our time on Oak Island. We stayed for 10 weeks in the comfort of this beach home. Melissa is a wonderful host. She has thought of everything and the place is fully equipped. Highly recommend!

Very nice place. Close to the beach. FYI, there is a fat cat that was looking in the kitchen window that scared me to death. lol will definitely go back

Our family had such a nice staying at Tranquil Harbour during our Oak Island trip. The home was clean and well suited for our family of 4 and dog. Melissa was an excellent host and gave us some wonderful dining recommendations. Thanks again for having us Melissa!

The location was perfect. My daughter wanted a place close to everything and that’s exactly what we got. The home was lovely . It had everything we needed and more. We made s’mores at the fire pit , grilled steaks and hamburgers. We rented a golf cart so we never moved our cars. There was plenty of parking space for two vehicles. The beds were comfy and ac was amazing . We kept it mostly at 73 and were freezing . My granddaughter loved the bunk beds. The neighborhood was beautiful as well . Several little parks and fishing spots the further back you go. We loved it, it was so peaceful in the evening . The owner was very easy to contact and quick to respond to anything. I highly recommend this property for anyone looking to really relax. We definitely will be back .

We can hardly wait to go back!

We had the best time. The property is exactly as described and shown in the photos. Melissa was amazing to work with from the booking process through check out. It was our first time in Oak Island and we loved it. The location of the house is great- right between the ocean and the intercostal. Melissa shared recommendations for restaurants and everything we tried was fantastic. Our whole family had an amazing time and want to go back.

Melissa’s property was amazing! Walking distance to the beach, grocery store and several shops! This home was also in the middle of a very central location on Oak Island. Melissa was great about staying connected with us though our trip just in case if we needed anything and the property had everything we needed! 10/10 highly recommend!

I would highly recommend this property to any friends and family coming to Oak Island at any time of the year. It was impeccably Clean tastefully decorated and perfectly comfortable for our family. The coffee area was super cute and the big perks for me were strong, water, pressure, amazing mattresses, and perfect location on the island accessible to everything that you could possibly need if it wasn’t already provided for you by the super thoughtful host. If you’re staying at Oak Island for a short period of time or a long period of time this is your spot. I imagine it would be absolutely perfect during the summer to walk to ice cream and to hop to the grocery store for anything you need and then head to the beach. Strong communication from the host throughout despite a snafu that occurred with my booking. I really appreciate their accommodations and thoughtfulness and communication. Stay here.

Perfect Rental

This was the perfect place for our family. So Cute! It was very clean and everything is new. Melissa and her husband checked in with us over our entire month's stay. This was a plus vs dealing with a rental company. It is centrally located on the island with the grocery store, miniature golf, gift stores and restaurants a block away. The beach is in walking distance too! We spent most of our time at the fishing pier a short drive from the rental. We will be back in 2024!!! Thank you for a great stay!

Great location, walking distance to Everything

We stayed for a month while clising on our house. We were 10 minutes away by car from everywe needed. The house is equipped with everything you could need except a mop. I picked up a swiffer wet jet at the dollar store Would recommend highly, but if you have a dog request the apartment with the fenced in yard. The owners are super responsive & very nice

This was a great location for my husband and I as we visited OKI for the first time. We were only about a 4 block walk to the beach. The neighborhood was quiet and quite lovely for a morning walk with only a 4 block walk in the opposite direction to the intracoastal waterway. It was actually quite remarkable how quiet the neighborhood was while being so close to so many shops, restaurants, and grocery stores. There are so many things within walking distance. It was clear to see how many people opt for golf cart rentals. My husband and I enjoy walking and we found it easy to get by without, but I could see why a family with kids could make great use of it. Parking on the beach is very limited at OKI and from what I researched it was a bit pricey. But good news on that one as well, Caswell beach, just a 2-3 mile drive down the road has a spacious free parking lot, boardwalk over the sand dunes, portable toilets in the parking lot and an outdoor shower for rinsing, but get there early(we got there at 8:30 a.m.) as this lot was filled by the time we left at 11:30. Caswell beach afforded us a much more secluded and less crowded beach experience. We found the beach rental to be just as it is described. It was very clean, comfortable and well stocked. We appreciated all the communication and tips Melissa provided and she was nearby. We would definitely stay here again and bring family and friends if the other side is available as well. It was a perfect beach trip.
