"I was in town for a 3 day conference and Michael's place was a short bus ride away from the university. The 2 story apartment is well equipped and, spacious. It's on a quiet street and tucked back behind the main house so it's beautifully quiet.The kitchen has everything you need - wish I'd been able to use it! "Beautiful waterfront property. There are houses all around but most of the time we had the beach to ourselves. The kayaks were a big plus! There are 2 youth and 3 adult kayaks (one takes in water, so really 2 adult kayaks). Portable a/c in the living area was a lifesaver. It doesn't cool the whole cabin in warm weather, though. There are only 2 very old box fans, so if you're local and able to bring some good fans I'd recommend it. The back bedroom in particular got very hot. No dining table,...

"Our stay was absolutely wonderful. The house was lovely. I was here with my family celebrating my 60th birthday we had a great time exploring Seattle during the day and how fabulous to come home to this sweet little sanctuary. Everyone had their own space to relax in. I loved the kitchen (the windows :) coming home and cooking our purchases from Pike market. Evenings out by the fire ring were so sweet and relaxing. "We really enjoyed our stay and would stay again. Kitchen supplies are a little spartan but still handy. There is a full-size stove, microwave, Coffee machine, toaster, 3-4 small to medium skillets, a saucepan, strainer, cutting boards, one mixing and one serving bowl, basic cooking utensils, and dishes/cutlery for two. (My list of supplies might not be comprehensive). There is also a Brita water pitcher but I think it has not been used in a while because there was mildew growing on the bottom...

"This is an exceptional location for observing both nature and the varied ships sailing by. My grandkids loved the sandy beach and spotting rabbits, deer, eagles and orcas! It was a truly peaceful and relaxing stay. The host is very warm and helpful in every way. "
