"House is very nice - also quite remote feeling but not far from restaurants and Governor’s Harbor. The beach is beautiful! Tenielle was a wonderful host! The only thing that could use repair is the long driveway. However, it is like many driveways on Eleuthera so I think you just have to expect it (but don’t be surprised as it’s quite a bumpy road)."

"Desert Rose was terrific from start to finish. The cozy house sits atop a beautifully turquois piece of the Atlantic ocean. Perfect for what we wanted...to simply relax and be in the surroundings of a largely untrafficed island. Given the central location of the property on Eluthera we traveled the island from top to bottom and enjoyed all of our adventuring and dining. Dont hesitate to book this sweet spot for a romantic, private getaway! Wed love to return. Thank you!"

"We had a wonderful time with our group of friends. The house was in a nice central location and the house manager was very accommodating. The power went off a couple of times and the house generator came on immediately. That was a great PLUS! My ONLY recommendation would be some upgrades on the small appliances, (no big deal) and dresser’s in the bedrooms, otherwise, it was perfect. We will visit again. We LOVE Eluethera and all the Bahama Islands and the people. 🇧🇸"

"The house was beautiful to match the view. It was super clean and well-kept. It was nice to have items like beach towels and a cloth cooler to be able to use. It was easy to find and a perfect distance from Governor's Harbor. We were greeted by the owner, and she later graciously resolved an internet issue. She followed up later to make sure it was still working. In our opinion, this home is located on the prettiest beach of the island. We will certainly be coming back!"

"We last visited Eleuthera 40 years ago for our honeymoon. Yes, there have been some changes, however it remains a destination for unspoiled beaches. The Simple Life Cottage was the perfect place to experience this. Watching the sunrise in the morning and seeing a million stars at night. Magical watching fireflies in the nature landscape. "Kirk is an amazing host. The house is beautiful and well appointed. We needed absolutely nothing the whole week that we couldnt find in the house. (Snorkeling geat, cookware etc...) Howard (groundskeeper) was a pleasure to chat with and and always a phone call away if we needed hiim. All and all it was a perfect, relaxing week."

"Natural beauty of this property is impressive. Here are details I wish I had known before arrival. BTW, I have traveled to many islands; understand challenges of supply chain and maintenance on an island. Property is spacious, lots of room, could easily have 10 people here. Having two villas was convenient and allowed everyone plenty of space. Location is excellent. Middle of Eleuthera, easy access north or south, Governors Harbor is 10 minutes by car, and a few good/great restaurants closer....

"This is a fantastic house in a fantastic location on a fantastic natural island. The house sleeps 8 very comfortably and provides every modern convenience. A refreshing pool is two steps from the back balcony door and diving and snorkeling are a mere 10 yards further in your private back yard with stairwell down to the water. "We enjoyed our 10-day stay. The sweet house was everything we expected—Clean, well designed and organized, and close to Governor’s Harbor as well as points north and south. The weather was hotter than we expected, but AC worked well. I especially enjoyed daily “workouts in the small and very clean pool. Jethro, who lives nearby, was particularly helpful with suggestions for restaurants and activities. Highly recommend."

"This place is perfect for exploring beaches and also having a pool. Located in the middle of the island its convenient to go either North or South. Jethro is hands down the best home owner we have ever rented from. Immediate response in person if needed. Even though right on Banks Rd the privacy is perfect!
