Perfect romantic getaway

We had an unforgettable stay at this beautiful vacation home. It was incredibly private, with a serene pool and an outdoor shower that made every day feel like a tropical dream. The home was spotless and had everything we needed for a comfortable, carefree getaway. With three bedrooms, and a fully equipped guest cottage, it would be the perfect size for family or group of friends. We loved how close it was to local restaurants and stunning beaches—it couldn’t have been better located. Visiting during this time of year was ideal, and the romantic setting made it truly special. Misty made everything perfect! We can’t wait to come back!

Seculded oasis

The house was very nice and clean. We had a rough time due to a fire on the island right beside us. That was definitely not the home owner's fault in any way. We did want to move to another house farther down on the beach but were told there was nothing available but only in town which we did not want to stay in town as we came for the beach. The walk to the beach is not bad, but is around 7-8 minutes depending on how fast you walk. The house is stocked with beginning toilet paper and even laundry detergent, but we were informed after we were trying to use the stove that it was broke and to just go next door to the studio to use the oven. Definitely not idea as its very tiny. The fridge does not make ice just fyi you have to go buy ice but it will dispense it. The kitchen is fairly well stocked but nothing like a home owner would stock. I said a couple times, if they stayed here, they would realize the small items needed in the kitchen. The bed was decently comfortable in the master bedroom, but the couch is well overdue for extra fluffiness. But truthfully the privacy is amazing at the house. The house feels like a victorian house especially on the outside. So overall I would recommend this house. I won't be looking to stay at it again as it was very frustrating to not even be able to enjoy outside with the awful smoke for several days. We ended up having to leave the house the minute we got up to not have our eyes absolutely killing us for several days.

Great Family Vacation

The property was as advertised. A short walk to a fantastic beach. The house was well stocked and there was plenty of room for our family of four. The extra space in the pool house was great for our older teenager! I would highly recommend this house for anyone looking to take a family vacation!

Great lovation

We spent 3 weeks at the property and our stay was very good. We were able to visit 14 other beaches so this is a good spot to adventure from. Very private location and we were able to get to restaurants and grocery stores easily. I recommend this place.

Miss Rubys

It was an Amazing vacation and a great property. Miss Ruby's was a great house , with wrap around deck , pool house and pool . An amazing 5 min walk to the pink sand beach we walked on every morning. Governors Harbor was a wonderful place to stay. The locals were so friendly and gave great advice on what to see and do. We all want to come back already!

Great house

The house is clean and spacious. We had a family of five, plus another couple and there was more than enough space for the seven of us. We prepared most meals at the house and the kitchen was well-equipped. The pool is clean and we spent most of our time there. The soft white beach is a short walk or drive and the water is beautiful. This place is all about taking in the beauty and relaxing. The only adventure we took was a six hour boat ride to see the pigs, turtles and stingrays- which was great. The noseeums or some type of bug feasted on a couple of us in the group and didn’t bother the others. We will go back! Communication was good and when a couple small issues came up, they were quickly addressed.

The house and property were lovely. The kitchen was well stocked. We were pleasantly surprised to see there were beach towels, beach chairs and umbrellas supplied. The walk to the beautiful, quiet beach was easy and took only 5 minutes. The beach had a shaded area and full sun area. Just beautiful for snorkeling and swimming.

Amazing 50th birthday week

Miss Ruby was amazing! We came here for a week long stay for my 50th birthday celebration. The house is very comfortable and worked wonderful for our configuration of guests. The beach is simply breathtaking. The walk is as described. I would recommend some more furniture on the porch, perhaps some ceiling fans out by the pool. AC unit in family room was finicky, but overall worked. Power outages occur almost daily, I can’t imagine the effects on electronics. The couch out by the pool was a favorite, if you can add another, that would be even better.

Little slice of heaven

Miss Ruby did not disappoint. It is only a short easy walk from Miss Ruby to the most amazing beach in the world! Misty was there to meet us when we arrived and provided great recommendations. The house was just what we expected…private, clean, and well-equipped. The accommodations worked well for our family to spread out. The pool was refreshing and the beach cannot be beat! It is beautiful and we had it to ourselves almost every day. The water was perfect for a toddler to wade in or adults to swim out and enjoy deeper, clear Caribbean blue water. Be prepared for a few power flickers and spotty internet…all fine with us as we were there to unplug. We would definitely stay again.

Beautiful Miss Ruby

We stayed for 8 days at Miss Ruby. The property was beautiful! The wraparound deck was spectacular, the kitchen was well-stocked, and the guest house cozy and well appointed. The beds were comfortable and the ac worked super well. The Wi-Fi wasn’t working during our stay, and the internet in that area of the island isn’t great. Also, the little beach is unbelievably beautiful and private, and it takes only 5 mins to walk there. The larger beach, however, is around a rock outcropping that is tough to pass if the tide is up and/or the sea is rough (which it was constantly during our stay). We therefore couldn’t do beach walks (unless we wanted to drive to a different beach) or walk to Tippy’s (food isn’t great there anyhow FYI). The town of Governor’s Harbour is around 15 mins away by car. All in all, a beautiful property and a great place to go to get away from it all!

Awesome property

We enjoyed this property -private pool, private beach access, spacious and great location to town- also close to Tippys. Main reason for picking property is the central location on the island and close to Governors Harbour. Only issue was Wi-Fi was spotty. Misty, Chevy and Justin were awesome- good communication. Would definitely stay here again!

Perfect family get away

Property was exactly as described and more. The house is beautiful and spacious. Extremely well stocked kitchen. The communication before and during our stay was excellent. The house is in a very convenient location being a few minutes drive from governor's harbor. We walked to the private beach on multiple days. Overall fabulous experience and we will return.

Fabulous Family Getaway @ Miss Ruby

This was our second year on the island and our first stay at Miss Ruby. Two families with young children- we had plenty of room to relax, the pool was wonderful after days at the beaches, and the location of the house is central to the island. Wifi was a bit touch and go, but that is expected on the island. Great communication with Justin while we were at the house. Would definitely recommend for families or groups!

Perfect in every way!

We had the best time at Miss Ruby! The house is exactly as pictured. What isn’t pictured is the beautiful wrap around surroundings and hearing the ocean waves each morning. The beds are comfy (bit squeaky), pillows soft, showers hot and great pressure! Short private walk to alcove beach and long stretch of gorgeous white & pink sand. Water changes daily, some days we had great waves, other days calm and perfect for snorkeling. Did lots of traveling to Spanish wells, cathedrals cave, Tippy’s, buccaneers, fish fry. But hanging at pool w family was best part. Thank you Misty!

5 minute walk to beach, pool private tropical Sandy white pink sand with bathing lagoon… Cocunut trees.. blue clear ocean. Best restaurant on Island at Tippys. Renamed Tipsys…. Kids loved, central location great day trip base… Highly recommend.

While the house is in need of some updating, the layout is superb The beach is a little bit of a hike but we’ll worth it once you arrive The people of Governors Harbor are so kind and welcoming! Make sure you go to Buccaneers it has the best Goombay Smashes on the island!

Wonderful location on private beach, lovely home

We spent a week at Miss Ruby. We met our son and family there. We loved the beach walk, convenient to Tippy's Restaurant--which we loved. The property is very private and just a short walk to the beach. The layout is great for families and persons traveling in groups. We highly recommend this property.

Best vacation of our lives...

What can I say about Eleuthera and specifically Miss Ruby? The island is incredible. The beaches, the people, the weather, just everything, it's incredible. Miss Ruby is a beautiful property and we just got back from nine days there. Misty and Justin (her son) did a great job in communicating and meeting us at the property to help however they could. The location to Governor's Harbour was awesome and close to grocery stores, church, gas station, and liquor store. Everything you need for the week! Beaches... so many in the general area it made everything convenient, and close. The best part was the pool was great, and for everyone whining about the walk to the beach is crazy. It was just down a short path but you were rewarded with a beautiful calm Atlantic beach and the entire week we didn't see a single soul on our strip of beach. All in all a great price, house, property, beach and value. Wouldn't hesitate to go back!
