It was a nice place with lots of sleeping areas. The amenities here are fantastic and right in front of the buildings. I love having the restaurant and Italian ice and bar option on site. They even had music by the pool the indoor pool and hot tubs are great.

Short Vacation at Baywatch

Property location was perfect.Could use more Handicap parking. The Condo that we rented was clean. However the last day at checkout, stripped the beds and found a shell of a BED BUG on the mattress. Creepy ! I reported it and they addressed this issue right away! I am so glad we were checking out. Lesson learned, always check out the place that you rent before hand !

Birthday trip

The check in and out was awesome, no lines or confusion. The unit was nice and clean. The resort is amazing with everything you need right there. We enjoyed ourselves very much. The only thing and it’s not on the owner or the management team but all guest need to respect everyone else and wash the dishes when they use them. We had to wash everything we used but that was fine. We will definitely stay again.

Bike Week at Baywatch

this is usually a very family venue, I was not made aware of the fact that Memorial Day weekend would be such a bad choice for staying there! I found out upon arrival that this holiday is also known as Black bike Week. Loud vulgar music was played from condos onto the outdoor pool area while myself and my grandkids tried to enjoy the amenities. Songs with explicit lyrics that spoke of sexual acts, contained loud profanity that made me blush, and music that condemned police and white people. Women walked about the condo pool and amenity areas with see through tops, see through pants and only thong type bottoms under them. Bare butt cheeks were displayed all around and even off the motorcycle seats for my 6 and 8 year old grandsons to see. The elevators and balcony areas wreaked of marijuana. Two days the pool was closed off with caution tape bc some partiers had thrown corona glass beer bottles into the main pool and caused a hazardous situation for everyone. The festival was located at Atlantic Beach which is right beside Baywatch. The loud partying and distasteful music blared up into the wee hours of the night, so loud that we could not sleep. The spill over from the festival was held at the Bay watch parking deck area. Attendees reved their motorcycle engines all night there and rattled the windows. My daughter and her children were afraid to go to their vehicle as a crowd of people roughty partiers were gathered there. Traffic patterns were a nightmare. Car park full.

Great vacation

Had a couple of hiccups but the Carolina palm staff were very quick to take care of the issue. I would highly recommend using Carolina palm for your vacation. Accommodations were good clean and located perfect for us, that made the vacation fantastic. Thank you Carolina Palm staff.

vacation

the beds were terrible, they need new mattresses, the remotes for the tv doesnt work i bought new batterys, and they worked for 1 day, have to turn everything by the tv itself, other than that, the process of checking in, and out is a nightmare, not enough carts, and you have to go to the main building to get them, only allowed 15 minutes, or you will be towed away, not enough handicap parking.

Bay Watch Towers

Overall it was nice. We enjoyed the amenities pool, lazy river, etc. The convenience of getting to the beach quickly also. We had to rewash every dish we used because the people prior to us, did not clean adequately. The house keeping that comes in between could clean a little better. Their needs to be a sign or some way to let/ remind people of the high metal strip on the entrance to the sliding door.

Property does not resemble pictures

When we went to check in, we arrived at the address given. Turns out there was another location in NORTH MYRTLE BEACH. With the exact same address. So we had to drive 30 min. No big deal. That’s where most of the activities we had planned todo were at anyway. Well check in was made easy as we didn’t have to go to the front desk or anything just were given codes and up we went. When walking in the condo had a very weird musty smell. There was obvious places of dirt that’s was not clean. What appeared to be mold on the side of the fridge and on the chair cushion. Everything just felt dirty. We ended up going to Walmart and buying sheets and a bath mat and our own towels to use because of how things felt. After sending pictures to property manager they did offer to have someone come clean. But we already had all our stuff there and unpacked so we didn’t want them on their with our stuff. But the pictures on Vrbo appear to be when the property was first bought and done or edited because you cannot see the dirt and grime especially in the kitchen. Overall aside from the dirtiness it is a great resort and location. We had a great vacation and time with family. The property manager was easy to contact and was accommodating when brought to her attention.

Sweet 16 birthday

Stay at bay watch many time before though another owner choose to go though this one this time because the rate the rooms i was supposed to get was great but turned out it was not a two bedrooms but a one room and still cost the same. When i asked if they could add another day or something for there mistake i was told i could be refunded and could find another place. Ive NEVER had any problem with this place before when i went though another place to rent. Then i was told i could get a early check and when we got there early we could not check in early!! Then when we were able to check in to our room it was nothing like it was posted. Thank god this trip was to celebrate my daughter's sweet 16 and we had to spend little time in it and shes not picky.

Great location

The resort is in a great location. Pool/ outside area looks nice, however; as other reviews stated, the inside needs updated and attention. I get its at ocean, and salt and sea are rough on a place, but the paint needs refreshed, as well as hall catpet, and lighting in halls dark. I was alone and felt unsafe at night time. Never saw security at night.

The convenience of check-in, parking and beach access was outstanding. Perfect place if you don’t plan on staying in the room but to sleep. Perfect distance to Barefoot Landing and North Myrtle attractions.

We Will Not Stay At This Unit Again - April 2023

We have stayed at the BayWatch Resort many times over the last 15 years. It has been our go-to when we wanted to get away from home for a few days. We have stayed in 1, 2, and 3 bedroom units over the years in all three towers. So we have a lot of examples of units at BayWatch to compare our stay with. Upon entering the unit, we were greeted with the smell of smoke and marijuana. The smoke smell came from all of the towels in the unit. There was no escaping it. We were thankful we brought our own to use. Additionally, the bathroom smelled of marijuana. It was even coming from the wall decorations. We found a can of air freshener in the bathroom cabinet. We pretty much emptied it in the bathroom and around the unit to provide relief. We looked around the unit to make sure of the cleanliness elsewhere. We found alcohol, noodles, coffee, recreational ice pack, and other items on and in the refrigerator. There are splatter stains on the lower walls around the unit. The closet had a sticky substance on the floor and the safe was not secured to the floor. The closet door track was so dirty it didn’t move smoothly. Additionally, our feet were blackened with dirt walking around the unit causing us to wear socks during our stay. The socks we wore got pretty soiled each day. Photos were taken and sent. This was, by far, the worst unit we have ever stayed in at the BayWatch. We attempted to contact by email, phone, and through VRBO without response.
