The location was great, check in was so easy and convenient. We had a few issues. The floors were really dirty. They had been swept but they need a really good clean with a clean mop, maybe several clean mops.There was no bath mat provided as part of the linen service. Maybe this is personal preference but I want a bath mat when I get out of the shower. Especially with a tile floor.The kitchen is not really well stocked. It could use a few things like more sharp knives and a sharpener, as the two there are not very sharp. Honestly, we would stay here again. It was cute and comfortable and had a nice ocean view. There were two places to rinse off when coming in from the beach. Since we were there in the office season, parking was plentiful. It was a good value for the money.

Refrigerator does not work kept nothing cold and our food did not last the whole week Need to replace the refrigerator. When booking this place said there was a hot tub and when we got there we learned there wasn’t one. That’s one reason we booked is for a hot tub. Other then that it was a great location, need to take down false advertisement for hot tub on the websites!!!

Shower didn’t work!!! We both needed a shower on Saturday!!! It was too late to ask for repair.The light switch in the bedroom turned everything on or everything off.Carpet needs to be cleaned!

On my second evening there, the AC went out. Temperature was up to 81 degrees . Nearly impossible to cool off after being outside all day. I notified the management company and they responded that someone would be there first thing in the morning. I sent a picture of the thermostat as proof. They didn't offer to go buy a fan or anything to help. By mid-morning, it's getting hot and no HVAC people or word from the management company. I messaged them again. They are "right on it"-- they weren't. I had to message them again to find out the status. Again, they were " on it". At this point, it's getting to be close to early dinner and I see an HVAC van from the pool. I go to the room and AC was running, but no communication from the management company letting me know the service was completed or following up if indeed it was working. At least I had a good night sleep the night before driving home. I did reach out to the management company asking what could be done as it was unbearable in the condo. They offered a $50 refund -- not sure that equals out. It was so hot in the condo, the tile floors were sweating and it was a constant slip hazard as well. I have pictures and the emails as support to this claim.

Vacation away from the cold!!

We have stayed in this area before. It’s easy to get too, lots to do. People are very friendly. Condo was perfect for us. Quiet building, well taken care. We enjoyed the balcony each day. Anything you need is just steps away. The perfect home away from home for a wk. thank you.

Romantic getaway

My husband and I had a relaxing time and beautiful beach weather…the patio after the beach was our favorite to have a glass of wine and watch the sunset…pool and property very clean…luggage racks and shopping cart available…Walmart and supermarket close by…we also enjoyed restaurants in Calabash about 20 minutes away

location was nice, very quiet with no screaming kids which is what we were looking for. place could use updated but overall nice. needs to replace the screen door so we could enjoy the ocean with the door open.. bed was comfy. overall, a nice place. will be back.

Lovely stay OCEANFRONT

My husband and I had a great stay at Carolina Reef. Convenient location, quiet building, BEAUTIFUL VIEW, nice pool, easy check in and check out, and great communication from the host. Would be nice to have a luggage stand in the closet and a smaller table on the balcony, and the mattress in the bedroom is past its prime, but otherwise a really relaxing stay. Casual, no frills, really perfect for a getaway. Recommend Goodfellas Seafood hut for non-corporate chain casual dining on Hwy 17, and parasailing on the beach - very close to the property. Since the building has fewer units than some others on the beach, the shore is less crowded. Would love to visit again.

Cleanliness was an issue

The location was great and close to everything. The furniture is old and stained it should be replaced or professionally cleaned. The fold out couch is very uncomfortable and cannot really be used. We had to go buy an air mattress to sleep on. The linens and towels were also old and stained. Unfortunately it was not the greatest of experiences.

Beautiful view!!

Everything was as stated! All except no washer and dryer in unit! There are plenty on property though! There were 2 of us and it was perfect size! My favorite was the view from the balcony. Everything was fantastic and clean!
